The steps below document how the limited-time 2025 quest worked, based on Pro Game Guides walkthroughs updated March 16, 2025—not current, independently verified in-game instructions.
Can you still get the Rivals Hunt Mega Token?
No. Roblox lists The Hunt: Mega Edition as over, with no running experiences. The Rivals quest described here was part of that event and is not a route players can currently complete.

How the 2025 Mega Token quest worked
Pro Game Guides’ March 16, 2025 walkthroughs describe a multi-game prerequisite chain followed by a Rivals mission and boss fight. Roblox’s official event retrospective describes the broader event: its initial stages featured 25 games, ran over 11 days, and used hidden tokens and Mega Tokens to open hub levels and puzzles. Those are event-wide details, not Rivals-specific participation figures. Roblox’s April 8, 2025 retrospective was written by Matt Curtis, Vice President of Developer Relations.
Recommended Free Tools
1. Collect four prerequisite Mega Tokens
The walkthroughs list these in order:
- SpongeBob Tower Defense
- untitled tag game
- Pressure
- Chained 2 Player Obby
2. Open the secret room in Rivals
- Load into Rivals and go to the Shooting Range.
- Shoot the special targets arranged in an X pattern. The walkthrough says a sound signals that the secret door has opened and places the door on a wall to the right of the lobby entrance.
- Enter the revealed room, leave it, then speak with Shady Chicken to receive the mission.
The guides recommend the Energy Rifle for the range because it has infinite ammunition. This is their strategy suggestion, not independently tested advice.
#1 Best Overall
- Redemption: Online only. Robux cards can only be redeemed in a browser at Roblox.com/redeem. They cannot be redeemed in the Roblox mobile app or any video game console.
- Roblox is an immersive platform for connection and communication. Every day, millions of people come to Roblox to create, play, work, learn, and connect with each other in experiences built by our global community of creators.
- Get more with every Roblox Gift Card! From now on, when you redeem a Roblox gift card, you get up to 25% more Robux. Perfect for gaming, creating, and exploring- more Robux means more possibilities!
- Deck out your avatar and unlock additional perks in your favorite experiences when you use Roblox Gift Cards to purchase Robux (Roblox's virtual currency).
- Each gift card grants a free virtual item upon redemption.
3. Collect 15 golden scrolls
Defeat players and collect the golden scrolls they drop until you have 15. The walkthrough recommends a 3v3 lobby; that recommendation, like the other tactics here, comes from the guides rather than official Roblox instructions.
4. Defeat the Nosniy boss
Return to Shady Chicken and choose the Nosniy boss encounter. After defeating the boss, speak with Shady Chicken again to claim the Mega Token. The walkthroughs suggest using a Molotov, and one also recommends an Assault Rifle; these are guide strategies, not independently verified tactics.

Hunt Token vs. Hunt Mega Token
These were separate Rivals rewards with different requirements. The regular Hunt Token quest did not require the four-game Mega Token chain or the Nosniy boss.
| Reward | Historical requirements described by Pro Game Guides |
|---|---|
| Hunt Token | Talk to Shady Chicken, complete five rounds of 1v1 (wins were not required according to the guide), then get five eliminations in 2v2 and return to claim the Hunt Token badge. |
| Hunt Mega Token | Collect Mega Tokens from four other games in the listed order, open Rivals’ secret room, collect 15 golden scrolls, defeat the Nosniy boss, and return to Shady Chicken. |
Both quests belonged to the 2025 event. Buying a Roblox credit or gift card is not an alternative way to unlock this archived quest.
