Can you still get the Microphone Rod?
As of the latest-dated fan-wiki pages cited here, the Microphone Rod is listed as no longer obtainable, and the Streamer Hideout is reported as unavailable. The detailed walkthroughs below were updated in February 2026 and describe the event while it was active; they are useful for understanding the quest chain, but do not establish that it is currently live. These are unofficial sources, and they do not establish whether or when the event might return. Fisch Wiki’s Microphone Rod page and its Streamer Hideout page report the later availability status.
How the Twitch Viewer quest worked
The event quest began at Moosewood and led through three requested catches, a set of pedestals on Earmark Island, the Streamer Hideout, and a final repair task. The older guides describe this order; if the event returns, check the in-game quest text in case mechanics or locations have changed.
1. Talk to the Twitch Viewer at Moosewood
Find the Twitch Viewer NPC near the pier at Moosewood and start the quest. This was the chain’s entry point in the February 2026 walkthroughs. All Things How’s walkthrough and the Fisch Wiki guide describe the NPC and quest.

2. Catch the three requested items
The Twitch Viewer requested a Pufferfish, a Mushgrove Crab, and a Rubber Ducky. All Things How says to fish for the Pufferfish in the ocean, use Crab Cages at Mushgrove Island for the Mushgrove Crab, and look for the Rubber Ducky at general fishing spots. These are guide-reported locations, not a guarantee of current mechanics.

- Rubber Ducky: reported at general fishing spots by All Things How.
3. Place the catches on Earmark Island
Take the three items to the pedestals on Earmark Island. The guides give the island’s approximate GPS coordinates as 1230, 125, 575. The Fisch Wiki also lists individual pedestal coordinates, but its current quest page reports the chain as no longer obtainable.

4. Catch a Clout Carp in the Streamer Hideout
Proceed to the Streamer Hideout and catch a Clout Carp. The guides say another player must be present for fishing in the hideout. Carry the fish to the closed door to advance the quest. The hideout’s current availability is reported differently from the older walkthroughs: its later fan-wiki entry says the location is unavailable.
5. Finish the Streamer’s repair task
The final task involved repairing the Streamer’s setup. The guides differ on how they count or describe the work: All Things How reports 13 broken items, while the Fisch Wiki describes repairing 12 loose cables and misaligned dials, then rebooting the router. Treat these as two accounts of the same repair stage, not as evidence of two separate quests.
