If The Sims 4 Gallery is blank, won’t load, or won’t download a creation, first check your internet connection and EA service status. Then work through platform and EA app checks before changing game content. The Gallery requires an internet connection, and no single fix applies to every cause.
The title’s “seven methods” framing is not an EA-verified checklist. These steps are better treated as a diagnostic order: they help identify whether the issue is with EA services, your connection, the EA app, or Mods and custom content.

What the Gallery needs to work
Electronic Arts says an internet connection is required to access The Sims 4 Gallery. The Gallery lets players share creations and download Households, Rooms, and Lots. Its Gallery tab supports searches by item name, hashtag, or EA Account ID; My Library contains your own creations and saved items. Check whether EA services or your connection are the problem
1. Check EA service status
If the Gallery suddenly stopped loading, check whether EA servers are experiencing an issue before changing game settings. EA’s connection guide recommends checking server status; a general status check can help distinguish a service-side problem from a local one, but it does not establish that a specific Gallery outage is happening. 2. Confirm your internet connection and platform conditions
Make sure your device is online and that other online services work. EA’s connection guidance also covers platform-related issues, background applications where relevant, and restarting the router. Follow the current instructions for your platform rather than assuming one network adjustment will fix every Gallery problem. A connection or platform issue can prevent access even when the game itself opens normally.
Check the EA app only if its state matches the symptom
3. Clear the EA app cache when it is stuck offline
On PC or Mac using the EA app, cache clearing may help if the app is stuck in offline mode. EA’s current instructions use App Recovery and Clear Cache; the menu path differs by operating system. EA explicitly notes that clearing cache cannot fix an outage or servers going down, so it is not a remedy for a service-side problem.

Test Mods and custom content cautiously
4. Temporarily check whether Mods are involved (PC and Mac only)
If you use Mods or custom content and the Gallery problem began after a game update, EA advises launching the game with Mods disabled to see whether it works. Check with the content creators for versions compatible with the latest update before re-enabling them. EA’s guide explains the compatibility check and cautions that saving and exiting before custom content and Mods have been re-enabled may remove that content from a saved game. 5. Use instructions for your platform
Mods are supported on PC and Mac, not PlayStation or Xbox. The Gallery custom-content filter described by EA is also available on PC and Mac. Console players should skip PC/Mac Mods and file instructions and focus on internet, service-status, and platform checks. See EA Help: How to install Mods in The Sims 4.

If the Gallery still will not load or download
6. Match the next step to where the failure occurs
- Possible EA service issue: Check status and wait for service to recover; changing local files will not resolve an outage.
- Internet or platform issue: Follow EA’s current connection troubleshooting for your device and platform.
- EA app appears offline: Use the operating-system-specific cache steps, while recognizing they do not fix server outages.
- Issue began after changing Mods: Check creator compatibility and follow EA’s safe testing guidance before restoring Mods.
7. Contact EA Help with useful details
If these checks do not resolve “can’t connect to the Gallery” or “Gallery won’t download,” use EA Help’s current connection or The Sims 4 support options. Include your platform, what the Gallery does (for example, blank screen, loading indefinitely, or failed download), when it began, and whether you use Mods on PC or Mac.
