You can’t unlock Renegade Raider with XP right now based on Epic’s published information: the time-limited OG Season Shop that offered it closed on January 30, 2025. Epic’s cited sources do not confirm that the outfit is currently available or say when it will return. If Epic lists it again, the official route is to buy it through Fortnite’s shop.
What “OG Renegade Raider” means
Renegade Raider is the original outfit from Fortnite Battle Royale Chapter 1 Season 1. It is distinct from Renegade Rebel, a separately named outfit. Epic’s December 20, 2024 announcement described Renegade Raider as one of the original items returning in the OG Season Shop. Read Epic’s announcement.

Can you still get Renegade Raider?
The announced OG Season Shop opportunity has ended, and the cited official sources do not establish a current listing. Check Fortnite’s live in-game shop or the official online Item Shop for any future listing. Epic says cosmetics are purchased through official shop channels; contacting support cannot make it deduct V-Bucks in exchange for a cosmetic. Epic’s support guidance on buying Fortnite items.
How the 2024 OG Season Shop worked
Epic announced the returning OG Season Shop on December 20, 2024. During that event, players had to earn the required XP before they could purchase each item. XP from any Fortnite experience that grants XP counted; it did not have to come from Fortnite OG or Battle Royale.

| Item | XP requirement during the 2024 event |
|---|---|
| Aerial Assault One Glider | 500,000 XP |
| Aerial Assault Trooper Outfit | 1,000,000 XP |
| Renegade Raider Outfit | 1,500,000 XP |
| Raider’s Revenge Pickaxe | 2,000,000 XP |
The shop was available only inside Fortnite, not in the online Item Shop, and closed January 30, 2025, at 7 PM ET. These are the requirements and dates for that past event—not a current unlock path. Earning 1,500,000 XP now is not established as a way to obtain Renegade Raider.
Does the Black & Gold style come with a future return?
No. Epic Support says the exclusive Black & Gold style variants were reserved for players who purchased Renegade Raider when it originally released in 2017. Qualifying players received the styles automatically when they logged in. That eligibility rule concerns the variant, not access to the base outfit in a later shop return. See Epic’s guidance on the Renegade Raider and Aerial Trooper variations.

Why account sales and transfer offers are not a workaround
- Buying or sharing an account: Epic says account buying, selling, or sharing is against its Terms of Service. Its Code of Conduct also warns against account sharing and buying or selling accounts. Epic’s account policy and Fortnite Code of Conduct.
- Moving the outfit to another account: Epic Support says it cannot manually transfer a Fortnite item or cosmetic between Epic accounts; items stay on the account where they were purchased, earned, or claimed. Epic’s item-transfer guidance.
- Unofficial V-Bucks sellers: Epic says it does not partner with third-party V-Bucks sellers and identifies official purchase channels, including Fortnite, the Epic Games Store, the Fortnite Item Shop, and authorized retailers selling official cards. Epic’s guidance on unofficial V-Bucks pages.
Will a gift card unlock Renegade Raider?
No card guarantees access to this particular outfit. Fortnite gift cards and V-Bucks cards can fund eligible purchases, but they do not make an unlisted cosmetic available; wait for an official shop listing before spending funds for this skin. Epic explains what Fortnite gift cards and V-Bucks cards are for.
Quick Recap
Best Value
- An Epic Games account is required to redeem an Epic Games Store Card code
- If playing on a console platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch or Mobile) you need to link your Epic Games account to that gaming platform (one time) to redeem your gift card code
- The 16 digit code on the back of the card WILL NOT work if redeemed directly through your gaming platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch, Mobile, etc.)
- Note: Nintendo devices do not support Fortnite Shared Wallet, so V-Bucks purchased using your account balance will not show up on your Nintendo device. However, if you purchase items in the web Item Shop — or another platform where you play Fortnite — those items will be available in your Locker across all platforms.
