During Fortnite’s Fortnitemares 2026 event, search Pumpkin Chests or enter Trick or Treat Cheat Codes to find the Spooky Dash Sprite. Epic describes it as a mobility item with charges that replenish over time. If those routes don’t turn it up, you can try trading with a teammate, eliminating a carrier, or using the Lucky Locator Gizmo.
Where to find the Spooky Dash Sprite
Epic’s Fortnitemares 2026 announcement points players to Pumpkin Chests scattered across the Island as a source of Sprites. Current guides also identify Trick or Treat Cheat Codes as a primary route; Beebom reports that rare chests, including vault loot, may also produce the Sprite.
Search Pumpkin Chests
- Queue into a Battle Royale match during the Fortnitemares 2026 rollout.
- Choose a landing area with Pumpkin Chest routes. Nightmare Neighborhood is a guide-recommended option, but it draws heavy early competition. Land on the edge, secure a weapon, then search.
- For potentially quieter searches, guides suggest Wonkeeland, Cluster Coast, and Chopped Shop. These are recommendations, not guaranteed spawns, and can change with map or loot updates.
- Search Pumpkin Chests across the Island. Keep checking if the Sprite does not appear; guides classify it as a rare Mythic Sprite, but no reliable official drop rate is established.
Enter Trick or Treat Cheat Codes
Epic confirms the event’s Cheat system, and current guides describe entering Trick or Treat Cheat Codes found at POIs and in or around Vault areas as another way to pursue the Sprite. Beebom also recommends entering codes as a way to level Sprites.
Use fallback methods
- Trade a duplicate Sprite with a teammate.
- Eliminate an opponent carrying one; current guides report that equipped Sprites can be obtained from defeated players.
- Use the Lucky Locator Gizmo as a targeted last resort for a Sprite you have not added to your collection.
What the Spooky Dash Sprite does
Epic says the Sprite lets you “Dash into a fight or out of trouble with charges that replenish over time.” Secondary guidance says its Phase Dash activates while airborne and can pass through some objects, including player-built structures. That makes it useful for escaping a boxed-in fight, crossing exposed ground, or pushing through a tight POI.

Choosing a route: speed, safety, or certainty
- For mobility: Spooky Dash is the movement pick. Epic describes the Vampire Sprite instead as restoring health through damage, so that Sprite is oriented toward survivability.
- For repeated attempts: search Pumpkin Chests and look for Cheat Codes; trading, eliminating a carrier, and the Lucky Locator Gizmo are fallback options.
- For less early pressure: Nightmare Neighborhood may concentrate event loot, but it is contested. The quieter alternatives named by guides are recommendations rather than guaranteed safe or reliable spawns.
- For progression: higher levels are reported to shorten the dash cooldown, while variants add separate Cheat Code, XP, Loot Hack, or elimination-related effects.
