Uchiwasshoi was the reward for the Moonfire Faire 2024 quest, which has ended. Its original quest can no longer be completed. A community emote list says it is sold in the Online Store, but current availability of the exact Uchiwasshoi item is not confirmed by the official store listing checked here. Verify the item in your regional store; do not confuse it with the separate Wasshoi emote.
How Uchiwasshoi was originally obtained
Square Enix awarded Uchiwasshoi for completing the Moonfire Faire 2024 seasonal quest, presented as “Fire Red, Beast Green.” The official event page lists these requirements and quest details:

The North American event ran from August 8, 2024 at 1:00 a.m. through August 26, 2024 at 7:59 a.m. PDT. Square Enix states that seasonal quests cannot be completed after an event ends, so the 2024 quest is no longer a way to obtain the emote. See the official North American event page for its details. Event schedules are regional: Square Enix displayed a different schedule on its European event page, so do not treat the PDT times as universal.
Can you still get Uchiwasshoi?
The original event quest is over. A community-maintained emote list reports that Uchiwasshoi is available through the Online Store, but the official store result available for this check showed a different item, “Emote: Wasshoi,” rather than a confirmed Uchiwasshoi listing. Exact current availability, regional stock, and price for Uchiwasshoi therefore remain unverified.
#1 Best Overall
- Adventure awaits you beyond the horizon in FINAL FANTASY XIV.
- This product is a digital 60-Day Game Time Card for FINAL FANTASY XIV Online. It serves as a payment option that allows players to add 60 days of game time to their FFXIV account at the Standard subscription rate, subject to account limits. Both the game and game time are required to play.
- This product can be redeemed on service accounts registered with the Windows, Mac, PlayStation, or Steam versions of FINAL FANTASY XIV Online. However, it cannot be redeemed on service accounts that have only the XBOX or Nintendo Switch 2 versions registered.
Check your region’s official FINAL FANTASY XIV Online Store for the exact name Uchiwasshoi before making a purchase. The community list is a lead, not confirmation of current stock. No future Moonfire Faire rerun is established here.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Uchiwasshoi and Wasshoi are different emotes
Uchiwasshoi and Wasshoi are distinct names, not alternate spellings of the same item. Square Enix describes Uchiwasshoi as an emote featuring a large uchiwa, or Japanese-style fan. The Lodestone command reference identifies /wasshoi as a separate command for letting out a joyous “wasshoi,” with a motion subcommand to perform only the motion. The official store category also lists “Emote: Wasshoi”; that listing does not establish that Uchiwasshoi is available or give its price.
Rank #2
- Access to all expansion content from Heavensward and Stormblood, unlocking additional jobs, areas, story quests and more ways to explore: flying, swimming and diving
- A flexible class system that allows players to switch freely between a variety of classes and jobs, including new additions red mage and samurai, and reach the new level cap of level 70
- All the hallmarks of the FINAL FANTASY franchise, including an engaging storyline, genre-leading graphics, and HD real time cut scenes.
- Robust gameplay features such as player-managed Free Companies, diverse party finder features to group up with other players with ease, and a variety of fun activities in the Gold Saucer area, all designed to accommodate a dynamic player community.
- Challenging trials, dungeons and raids for groups of up to 24, and exciting player-vs-player (PvP) content for groups of up to 72 players
Square Enix’s Moonfire Faire blog post says the event quest awarded the emote and describes its large fan. The distinction matters when searching the store: confirm the complete item name rather than purchasing Wasshoi expecting to receive Uchiwasshoi.
