If you have already completed the introduction, use your Dalaran Hearthstone if you have one. Check your quest progress before taking a portal: teleporting to the Broken Isles early can auto-complete part of the introduction.
Which route should you use?

If you have not completed Legion’s introduction
- Go to the Warchief’s Command Board in Orgrimmar.
- Look for the Broken Shore introductory mission, which may appear as “Fight The Legion.”
- Accept it and follow the quest chain toward Dalaran and the Broken Isles.
Blizzard-hosted forum guidance also points players who cannot find the starting quest to the Command Board. Quest presentation can vary with character progression, so look for the Broken Shore mission rather than relying only on one exact label. Blizzard-hosted forum discussion
If you have completed the introduction
Use the Dalaran Hearthstone if it is available to your character. It returns you to Dalaran in the Broken Isles. If you do not have one, check whether an Azsuna portal is present in Orgrimmar, but treat it as an in-game option to verify rather than a guaranteed route: its current availability is not established by the official sources cited here.
If the quest or route is missing
- Check the Warchief’s Command Board for the Broken Shore introduction, especially if you have not completed Legion’s opening quests.
- Do not assume a portal is available to every character. The Azsuna portal is mentioned in a third-party guide, but its current availability is not confirmed by an accessible official source.

What happens after you reach Dalaran?
Legion’s original onboarding sent players from Dalaran to a chosen leveling zone after they accepted the related quest. Blizzard’s overview describes that historical progression, but it does not establish today’s portal layout or guarantee that the same route options appear for every character.
