If your Raider is trapped in map geometry, stop moving briefly and watch for the on-screen Unstuck prompt. A third-party guide reports that PC players should hold Space when it appears; on any platform, follow the control shown in your own game. It may reposition you, but it is not a guaranteed rescue and player reports include cases where it placed Raiders below or outside the playable map.
Use the Unstuck prompt first
- Stop moving briefly. The cited how-to guide says the prompt can appear after you remain stuck and motionless for a short time. The game detects geometry problems, though not perfectly, according to Embark design director Virgil Watkins in a 2025 interview.
- Follow the on-screen control. The guide reports that PC players hold Space when prompted. That is third-party guidance, not an official control reference for every platform; use the instruction displayed by your game.
- Check where you end up. The feature attempts to reposition your Raider, but player accounts describe it failing to free them or placing them under or outside the map. These are anecdotal reports, not evidence of how often failures occur.
There is no established success rate for the prompt, and the reviewed sources do not show that repeatedly triggering it guarantees a safe position.
If the prompt does not help
You are still able to move
Try cautious movement toward visible, solid terrain or an ordinary route out. Avoid forcing movement into unclear geometry. If you are in a squad, a teammate may be able to help, but the reviewed official sources do not establish a universal teammate-rescue mechanic.
You remain trapped or end up out of bounds
If you cannot reach a safe route, record the map and approximate location, what you were doing when you became trapped, whether the prompt appeared, and where it placed you. Report a repeatable problem through Embark’s official support center. The reviewed support materials do not establish a general policy for restoring loot lost after an Unstuck failure.

Some map traps have been patched, but not all
Embark’s January 2026 Headwinds 1.13.0 patch notes list fixes for 40 Stella Montis locations where players frequently got stuck, adjustments to cliffs around the Dam outpost tower, and a fix for an out-of-bounds Bastion spawn. The 40 figure counts fixed locations; it is not a player incident count or a measure of how often Unstuck works. These fixes address specific problems and do not establish that every geometry or boundary issue is resolved. Check the official ARC Raiders patch notes for updates relevant to your map and location.

In a 2025 interview, Embark design director Virgil Watkins said the game detects geometry traps—“not always perfectly”—and generates telemetry and an in-editor heat map so developers can inspect the locations where they occur. That explains how reported problem spots can inform fixes; it is not a guarantee that detection or recovery will work in every case.
