To get V’s jacket in Cyberpunk 2077, complete the Tapeworm story quest, then play the Chippin’ In side job. Rogue gives V the Replica of Johnny’s Samurai jacket after the conversation with Crispin Weyland, before the drive to the docks.
Get the jacket during Chippin’ In
- Progress through the main story until you complete Tapeworm. It is the listed prerequisite for unlocking Chippin’ In; see Game8’s Chippin’ In walkthrough.
- Start Chippin’ In and follow the job until Rogue takes you to meet Crispin Weyland.
- After speaking with Weyland, follow Rogue to her car. She hands V the jacket before the drive to the docks, as described in the Chippin’ In quest listing.
- Open your inventory and equip the jacket from the outer-torso clothing slot. The item is listed as the Replica of Johnny’s Samurai jacket.
Which jacket is meant by “V’s jacket”?
The quest reward’s in-game name is Replica of Johnny’s Samurai jacket. Players may also call it Johnny’s Samurai jacket or V’s iconic jacket, but it is the same clothing item awarded in Chippin’ In.
Don’t confuse it with DLC clothing or merchandise
- Free additional-content clothing: CD PROJEKT RED’s DLC clothing instructions describe separate items and where to find them. They do not identify the Chippin’ In jacket as a DLC stash item.
- Real-world merchandise: The CD PROJEKT RED Gear Store Samurai Daily Jacket is physical merchandise, not an in-game acquisition method. Its listing does not establish that it is an exact replica or that buying it unlocks anything in the game.
If Chippin’ In is not available
Continue the main story and complete Tapeworm, then check your available jobs for Chippin’ In.
