How many zombies do you need to defeat?
The requirement is 53,594 zombie defeats. That is the wording used by Steam for the achievement. PowerPyx reports that your kills carry over across playthroughs in the Deluxe Remaster, so progress can accumulate over multiple runs. The guide also points to an in-game kill tracker for checking your progress.

These times and kill rates are PowerPyx estimates, not independently tested results. Your pace and remaining kill count affect how long the grind takes.
Farm kills in the Maintenance Tunnels
This route uses dense zombie groups and cycles through three vehicles before they are destroyed. PowerPyx estimates 15–20 cycles for the full requirement, with roughly 2,500–3,000 kills per cycle.

- After the introduction, go to Leisure Park and enter the Maintenance Tunnels through the northwest parking area.
- Take the Red Convertible and drive through the dense groups in the northern tunnel section.
- When the convertible is smoking or close to breaking, switch to the Box Truck in the southeast tunnels.
- Move on to the White Sedan near the tunnel entrance and Warehouse route.
- Return to the Red Convertible and repeat the loop.
Switch vehicles before one is destroyed: the guide recommends this to avoid losing time going back for a wrecked car. The route is presented as the simpler choice if you want to begin farming without first completing survivor objectives or reaching Overtime Mode.
Farm kills in the Overtime Mode caves
The cave method requires more setup but is estimated by PowerPyx to take about an hour less than the tunnel route. It relies on a Rocket Launcher and the Infinite Ammo/Durability Magazine.

PowerPyx says the timer stops once you reach this point and estimates around 1,000 kills every three minutes, or about three hours for the grind. These are guide-published estimates rather than guaranteed results. This route makes most sense if you are already pursuing the story and survivor objectives.

PowerPyx reports that completing the kill requirement and finishing the current playthrough unlocks the Real Mega Buster. On later playthroughs, it appears outside the Security Room.

Steam provides the exact achievement requirement, while PowerPyx provides the carryover information, routes, unlock details, and estimates. Capcom’s online manual covers general game systems but does not give specific instructions for this achievement. Capcom announced the game for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC; the release announcement scheduled the digital release for September 19, 2024, and physical versions for November 2024.
