Select an injured unit, open its expanded action menu, and choose Heal. The order keeps the unit resting toward recovery; Skip Turn pauses it for one turn so you can decide what to do next.
How to issue the Heal order
- Select the injured unit.
- Open its expanded or secondary action menu. The Heal option is in the unit’s action menu; its precise position can vary with the interface.
- Choose Heal. The unit will keep resting rather than requiring you to issue the same order every turn. You can select it again or cancel the order if you need to act.
The Steam Community help discussion describes a small menu beside the unit interface, while Game8 also identifies Heal as a selectable action. Steam Community discussion; Game8 guide.
Heal or Skip Turn: which should you choose?
| Order | What it does | Best suited to |
|---|---|---|
| Heal | Keeps the unit resting toward recovery without a new order each turn. | A unit you want to leave resting while you manage other parts of your turn. |
| Skip Turn | Pauses the unit for one turn; you can reassess it afterward. | A unit whose safety or next move may need another look next turn. |
Both guides describe resting as a way to recover, but Heal is the continuing-rest choice and Skip Turn preserves more immediate control. Game8; GamesRadar+.
Where to rest an injured unit
Game8 and GamesRadar+ report that units recover faster in friendly territory than in neutral or enemy territory. If a unit can retreat to safer friendly ground without taking a greater tactical risk, resting there is a sensible choice. A stationary unit can also recover, according to the guides and player discussion.

If the Heal option is not apparent
- Confirm that you have selected the injured unit, not a nearby unit or tile.
- Open the unit’s expanded or secondary action menu rather than relying only on the prominent actions.
- If you want to keep control of the unit instead, use Skip Turn and reassess it on the next turn.
