For better performance in Titanic Escape Simulator, update the game, check which graphics options your PC supports, then compare changes in the same scene. Official patch notes document AMD FSR upscaling and AMD FSR 2X frame generation, but the official sources do not provide FPS benchmarks or a universally best preset. Use your own repeatable test rather than expecting a guaranteed gain from any one setting.
Start with the game’s current version and available options
Update Titanic Escape Simulator before adjusting settings. The development team’s Steam patch notes document AMD FSR upscaling, AMD FSR 2X frame generation, and fixes involving frame-generation settings and stability. The Patch 1.0.5 announcement describes graphics, performance, movement, Free Roam, stability, and player-reported fixes as update priorities. The announcement is dated September 8, though the year is not displayed in the cited excerpt.
After updating, open the game’s graphics options and note which upscaling or frame-generation choices are actually available. Availability can depend on the game build and hardware; do not assume every PC will show the same options.
How to test settings for better FPS
- Choose a repeatable scene. Use the same location and activity for each comparison so the results are more useful than comparing unrelated moments.
- Record your starting point. Note the resolution, graphics settings, and observed frame rate. If you can see GPU utilization and temperatures, record those too.
- Change one setting at a time. Try an available upscaling option or lower an individual graphics setting, then revisit the same scene.
- Compare both speed and image quality. Keep a change only if its performance difference is worthwhile at your resolution and the resulting image remains acceptable.
- Test frame generation separately. If AMD FSR 2X frame generation is available, compare it on and off in the same scene. Do not treat a displayed frame-rate change as a guaranteed improvement to responsiveness.
This is a practical comparison method, not a developer-published benchmark procedure. The official materials do not establish a setting order, measured FPS gain, or best preset.

Check whether your PC meets the Steam requirements
Valve’s Steam listing gives these minimum and recommended PC tiers. They are specification comparisons, not guarantees of a particular frame rate on every system.
| Specification | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Operating system | 64-bit Windows 10 | 64-bit Windows 10/11 |
| Processor | Intel Core i5-2500K or AMD FX-6300 | Quad-core Intel or AMD processor at 2.5 GHz or faster |
| Memory | 16 GB RAM | 32 GB RAM |
| Graphics | NVIDIA GTX 960 or AMD R9 380 (8 GB VRAM) | NVIDIA GTX 1660 or AMD RX 5600 XT (8 GB VRAM) |
| DirectX | Version 11 | Version 12 |
| Available storage | 20 GB | 20 GB |
These are the requirements shown on the Steam store listing, accessed October 7, 2026. Check your PC’s actual processor, memory, graphics card, and available storage against the relevant tier. Meeting minimum requirements does not promise smooth performance in every scene.

Should you upgrade your graphics card?
Do not buy a card just because the frame rate is low. First check your current GPU, resolution, temperatures, and utilization, then see whether lowering graphics settings changes performance. If those comparisons point to the GPU as the bottleneck, verify that a candidate card is compatible with the rest of your PC, including its power supply and available space.
The GTX 1660 and RX 5600 XT are useful reference points because Steam lists them as recommended graphics options. That listing does not establish that either card is necessary, the best value today, or guaranteed to improve a particular system. No supported source provides a specific FPS gain for upgrading to them.

Storage and other common performance claims
The Steam listing specifies 20 GB of available storage; it does not state that an SSD is required. The official information cited here also does not verify a particular SSD benefit, a percentage gain from a named graphics setting, or a universal performance fix. Avoid treating those claims as game-specific facts without reliable evidence.
