BGMI does not have an identified official Windows PC or laptop installer. The official distribution and support materials cover Android and iPhone/iPad, not Windows. You can install BGMI on a compatible mobile device, while an emulator is only a third-party way of running a mobile app—not an official PC version—and is prohibited in official BGMI competitions.
Short answer: there is no official BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India) Windows installer or native PC client identified in KRAFTON’s current official support and store materials. BGMI is distributed as a mobile game for Android and iPhone/iPad. You can install it officially on a compatible mobile device, but an emulator is not the same as an official PC version and is prohibited in BGMI’s official competition rules.

If you want to play on a laptop, do not download a random “BGMI for PC” installer, cracked APK, modified client, or APK-plus-OBB package. Those files may be unsafe, unofficial, or capable of putting your account at risk. The safest supported route is to install BGMI from the official mobile store in its supported market. KRAFTON’s BGMI support page describes BGMI as a mobile game and provides mobile—not Windows—requirements.

No official Windows installation path was found in the official sources reviewed for this guide. The BGMI support center lists Android and iOS requirements, while the official Google Play listing presents BGMI as an Android mobile application. Neither source provides a Windows installer or Windows system requirements.

That conclusion is narrower than saying no emulator can ever launch the app. It means that an emulator is not an identified official BGMI PC release. It also means you should not treat a third-party “BGMI PC download” page as a KRAFTON Windows distribution channel.

How to install BGMI officially on Android
KRAFTON’s official Android support page currently lists Android 4.4 or later, an Adreno 306 or higher GPU, and at least 1.5 GB of RAM as the minimum Android specifications. These are the publisher’s listed minimums—not a promise of smooth performance, stable frame rates, or compatibility with every modern Android device. - Open the Google Play Store on your Android phone or tablet.
- Search for BGMI: FPS Battle Royale.
- Check that the developer shown on the listing is KRAFTON, Inc. Use the official listing at Google Play rather than a download site offering an APK.
- Tap Install and wait for the store download to finish.
- Open BGMI, sign in using a supported account method, and allow the game to download any additional in-game resources.
- Do not start a match until the required resource download has completed. A partially downloaded installation can cause missing content, errors, or a poor first-session experience.
The Google Play listing describes BGMI as an online multiplayer shooter for players across India. Store figures, update dates, seasonal content, and collaborations can change, so they should not be treated as permanent requirements or guarantees of availability.
How to install BGMI on iPhone or iPad
The official BGMI support center lists iOS 10.0 or later for iPhone and iPod touch, iPadOS 10.0 or later for iPad, and at least 2 GB of RAM. That support page was last updated more than two years ago, so use the current App Store compatibility result for your specific device as the final check rather than relying on the older requirements page alone. - Confirm that the App Store says the app is compatible with your device and current iOS or iPadOS version.
- Tap Get or the download button, authenticate if requested, and wait for installation.
- Launch BGMI and complete the additional resource download before playing.
Why emulator guides are not official BGMI PC installation guides
An emulator creates an Android-like environment inside Windows. If BGMI launches in one, you are still running the mobile application through third-party software; you have not installed a native BGMI Windows client.
This distinction matters especially for competitive play. The official BGMI competition rulebook states that players may not use an emulator to play on a PC or another non-mobile device in official competitions. The rulebook is specifically relevant to official competitions and should not be stretched into a claim that every emulator launch automatically produces a particular account penalty.
BGMI’s support guidance separately warns against cheating tools, unauthorized third-party programs that change client data, illegal client-file modifications, unofficial game clients, and unofficial or cracked clients. These activities can lead to penalties or account bans. The accurate safety advice is therefore:
- Do not assume that GameLoop, BlueStacks, or another emulator is officially supported for BGMI simply because a guide says it works.
- Do not use an emulator in official BGMI competitions.
- Do not install a client modified to evade anti-cheat checks or change game files.
- Do not use recoil scripts, macros, matchmaking bypasses, or anti-cheat bypasses.
- Do not use cracked APKs, APK-plus-OBB bundles from unknown sites, or unofficial payment channels.
There is no reliable basis in the reviewed official sources for repeating the claim that merely opening an emulator automatically causes a specific “10-year ban.” Do not confuse that unsupported blanket claim with the narrower, documented risks involving prohibited competition play, unauthorized software, modified files, and unofficial clients. Can screen mirroring put BGMI on a laptop?
No. Screen mirroring or casting can show your phone’s display on a laptop, monitor, or television, depending on the devices and connection method. BGMI remains installed and running on the phone. The laptop is only acting as a display or recording destination.
This can be useful if your goal is to view gameplay on a larger screen, but it does not provide a native PC installation, guarantee low latency, or establish official keyboard-and-mouse support. Treat it as a display workaround, not as “BGMI for PC.”
BGMI availability outside India
BGMI is the India-specific version of the game. The official Google Play description refers to competition with players across India and includes India-focused content. A reader in the United States or another region may therefore find that BGMI is unavailable or presented differently in their official store.
Check the official store listing for your own account region and device. If BGMI does not appear, check the device, operating-system version, and store-region information before doing anything else. Do not use VPN instructions, region spoofing, or unofficial downloads to bypass regional restrictions. If you are looking for a different game, do not confuse BGMI with PUBG MOBILE or PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS; they are separate listings and products.

Fixes for common BGMI installation problems
BGMI does not appear in Google Play or the App Store
- Check the store account’s region and whether you are searching the official store.
- Check the phone’s operating-system version and the store’s compatibility message.
- Confirm that you have enough free storage for both the app and its additional in-game resources.
- Open the official BGMI listing directly rather than relying on a search result from an unrelated website.
- If the official listing is unavailable, treat that as a regional or platform-availability issue—not as a reason to install an APK from an unknown source.
The installation or resource download fails
- Use a stable Wi-Fi or mobile-data connection and retry the official store download.
- Free additional storage; the listed app size is not necessarily the total space required after resource packs and updates.
- Restart the device and retry.
- Install appropriate operating-system updates if your device supports them.
- Make sure the store is downloading the official KRAFTON listing, not a sideloaded package.
- For persistent installation, login, or account problems, use the BGMI Help Center and the support contact provided on the official Google Play listing.
BGMI lags, crashes, or loses connection
The official support center has separate help areas for lag, lost connection, crashes, graphics, FPS, and installation issues. Start there rather than assuming that a Windows optimizer, driver utility, or emulator will solve a problem in a mobile installation. The published minimum specifications do not establish a universal FPS target, and real performance depends on the device, thermal conditions, graphics settings, network, and current game version. What should you do if you specifically want a PC PUBG game?
If your requirement is a game designed for Windows rather than BGMI on a mobile device, investigate PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS through its official KRAFTON information. It is a different PUBG-branded title and should not be described as the PC version of BGMI. Its availability, system requirements, accounts, gameplay ecosystem, and platform support are separate from BGMI.

You cannot currently follow an identified official Windows installer route for BGMI. Install BGMI from the official Google Play or App Store listing on a compatible device, complete its resource download, and use the BGMI Help Center for problems. An emulator is an unofficial workaround rather than a native PC release, is barred in official BGMI competitions, and becomes especially risky when combined with modified clients or unauthorized tools. Screen mirroring can enlarge the phone’s display, but it does not install or convert BGMI into a supported laptop game.

Can I use GameLoop or another emulator to play BGMI on PC?

Can I play BGMI with a keyboard and mouse on a laptop?
