Install CircuitLord’s Titanfall 2 VR conversion with its official installer, which places Northstar and the mod in a separate TF2VR profile. Launch VR through the installer while your PC VR runtime is active; the project says a regular Titanfall 2 launch remains unmodded. Its documented uninstall removes files recorded for that install, while VR saves and settings are kept separately from your standard campaign.
Before you install
Use CircuitLord’s official installer project and check its releases page for current instructions and version notes. The project says it is a community effort, not affiliated with or endorsed by the game’s developers or publishers, and that you use it at your own risk.
- You need Titanfall 2 installed through Steam, EA, or Xbox. The installer is documented as finding installations from those storefronts.
- You need the EA app and must be signed in. If it is not installed, the project README says to launch Titanfall 2 once so the EA app can be installed.
- You need a PC VR headset and an active VR runtime, such as SteamVR or another runtime you use.
The reviewed sources do not specify minimum PC requirements or a tested headset compatibility list, so confirm your own headset and runtime work with your PC rather than relying on a model recommendation.
Install and start the mod
- Download the current installer from CircuitLord’s releases page. The latest release listed when checked on October 4, 2026, was v1.2.8, published October 3, 2026; check the live page in case a newer version is available.
- Run the installer and follow its prompts to locate your Titanfall 2 installation. It supports installations found through Steam, EA, or Xbox and checks for the EA app.
- Allow the installer to place Northstar and the mod in the separate
TF2VRprofile in the game directory. The project describes the mod’s files as separate from the ordinary game launch. - Start SteamVR or your chosen PC VR runtime, then use the installer’s Launch in VR button.
The project says the installer compares a manifest of download URLs and SHA-256 hashes with installed files when it offers install or update actions. That is the project’s described file-integrity check; it is not an independent security audit of the mod. The installer source is MIT-licensed, but CircuitLord says the mod itself is closed source and is not covered by that license.

Keep regular campaign saves separate
VR launches use separate saves and settings in %LOCALAPPDATA%RespawnTitanfall2_VR, rather than the regular campaign’s save location. The installer’s Campaign saves button opens or checks the VR save location. This separation is intended to leave the standard campaign untouched.
What to expect in VR
The conversion targets Titanfall 2’s single-player campaign. CircuitLord’s README describes stereo rendering, full-body inverse kinematics, manual reloads, and Titan controls; Road to VR’s October 2, 2026 report likewise describes campaign support as the current scope.

Titanfall 2’s wall-running, double jumps, sliding, grapple movement, and rapid transitions can feel intense in VR. Snap turning is available, but it cannot guarantee comfort or prevent motion sickness. Stop playing if you feel unwell rather than trying to push through symptoms.
Update or uninstall without deleting unrelated files
Use the current installer interface for updates and removal. CircuitLord’s README says, “Every install records the files it wrote inside the game folder.” It says updates remove files shipped by the previous version but not the new one, and uninstall removes exactly the files recorded for that install. The reviewed README does not give button-by-button uninstall directions, so follow the labels and prompts in the version you have rather than guessing at a menu path.

Before acting, verify that the installer is pointed at the Titanfall 2 installation you intend to manage. Do not manually delete files from the game folder as a substitute for the installer’s recorded-file removal: the documented protection applies to files tracked by that installation. Keep in mind the project describes intended behavior; it is not an independent verification of every install or uninstall outcome.

Installer behavior can change between releases. As of October 4, 2026, the release notes list v1.2.8 as the latest version. Version 1.2.6, published October 1, 2026, added a stop to launch when another mod has replaced dxgi.dll or d3d11.dll. Version 1.2.3 added an administrator request for game installations under Program Files and explained OpenXR launch failures. Consult the live release notes before changing files or permissions; those notes describe particular versions, not universal steps for every setup.
