Then enable mods and script mods in Game Options > Other, restart the game, and check that MCCC appears in the loaded-mod list and in a Sim’s or computer’s menu.
Before you install: match MCCC to your Sims 4 update
Check the game’s installed patch and compare it with the compatibility information on the MCCC Downloads page. At the time this information was checked, the public release listed was MCCC 2026.5.0, tested through the September 22, 2026 Sims 4 update: PC version 1.128.90.1030 and Mac version 1.128.90.1230. These version details can change; use the live page to choose a release compatible with your current game patch.

The Downloads page also lists MC Woohoo 2026.5.0, a companion module that requires MCCC. It is optional; the basic MCCC installation does not require it. The page distinguishes public releases from private early releases, which may be incomplete or contain defects.
Install MCCC in The Sims 4
- Download the compatible release. Use the version listed as compatible with your game patch on the official Downloads page.
- Unzip the downloaded archive. The required file is
mc_cmd_center.ts4script. Keep it together with any optional MCCC module or package files you choose to install. - Copy the files into the Sims 4 Mods folder. Use the Mods folder in the game’s documents directory. You may place files directly in Mods or in one subfolder, such as
Mods/MCCC. Do not put script-mod files two or more folders deep: the creator’s installation instructions explain that the game searches only one folder level below Mods for script mods. - Enable both mod settings. Launch the game, then open Game Options > Other. Turn on the setting for mods and custom content and the setting for script mods.
- Restart and verify. Restart the game if prompted or if the changes do not take effect immediately. Check the loaded script-mod list, then load a lot and click a Sim or computer. The “MC Command Center” menu should appear when the mod is operating.
Update MCCC without losing your settings
When installing a newer release, remove the old MCCC .ts4script and .package files before extracting the new ones. Keep mc_settings.cfg, mc_tuner.cfg, and mc_dresser.cfg: the creator says these configuration files are upgraded automatically and retain preferences. Deleting them removes your saved settings and means you will need to configure them again. See the creator’s installation instructions and FAQ.

Fix common MCCC installation problems
MCCC is missing from the loaded script-mod list
- In Game Options > Other, check that both mods/custom content and script mods are enabled.
- Confirm that
mc_cmd_center.ts4scriptis no more than one folder below Mods. For example,Mods/MCCCis an acceptable depth;Mods/Script Mods/MCCCis too deep. - If moving the files directly into the main Mods folder makes them appear, the creator’s troubleshooting guide identifies a damaged
resource.cfgas one possible cause.
MCCC is listed, but its in-game menu does not appear
Being listed as found does not by itself prove the mod loaded correctly. Check whether the installed MCCC release matches the current Sims 4 patch, using the version notes on the Downloads page.
MCCC stopped working after a Sims 4 update
Game updates can turn off the mods and script-mod settings. Recheck both under Game Options > Other, restart if needed, and verify that your MCCC release is compatible with the updated game. The creator’s troubleshooting guide covers these checks.

The game shows Last Exceptions or errors after installing
Outdated or conflicting mods and custom content are common causes, according to the creator’s troubleshooting guide. To isolate a conflict, temporarily move other mods and custom content out of the Mods folder and test with MCCC alone.
A settings change produces a OneDrive permission error
The creator identifies OneDrive synchronization of the Mods folder as a possible cause. Check whether OneDrive is syncing the Sims 4 folder; the troubleshooting guidance recommends disabling that sync or keeping the Sims 4 folder on a physical drive.
