In an Xbox Wire podcast transcript published September 26, 2026, design director Laura de Llorens described mixed play this way: “One thing that is new that we didn’t have in Dungeons I is that you can now mix couch co-op and online play, meaning that you can be here playing with your friend on the couch and your other friends are somewhere else, and you can play with them.”
