To keep Gujarati bhajans playing on YouTube Live without leaving a computer on at home, use a cloud playout service: prepare a rights-cleared playlist, create or schedule a YouTube live event, connect the service with YouTube’s stream URL and key, then test and monitor the broadcast. YouTube Live must be enabled for your channel before the day you plan to start; first-time activation may take up to 24 hours.
1. Clear the rights to the bhajans first
Cloud hosting changes where the video is played from; it does not give you permission to broadcast the music. YouTube’s livestream terms make the provider responsible for securing all necessary rights to live content worldwide, including music licensing rights. A bhajan composition and a particular recording of it can involve different rights holders, such as publishers, performers, labels, or other royalty participants.
- Confirm that your permission covers the specific recording and composition, live streaming on YouTube, the territories where viewers may watch, and the intended duration or repeat use.
- Keep written licenses or permissions where you can find them if a claim or interruption needs to be addressed.
- If a licensed recording is enrolled in Content ID, ask the relevant rights holder to allowlist your channel. YouTube says a live stream may still be interrupted for a match when a licensed channel has not been added to the rights holder’s allowlist.
- Do not treat a recording’s presence online, a purchased CD, or access to a music subscription as proof that you can rebroadcast it.
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. A match can trigger a warning or placeholder, and continued streaming may result in interruption or termination. YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance describes these risks. Creator Music is not a workaround: under its described usage terms, Creator Music tracks cannot be used in live streams. See Creator Music usage details.
2. Check that your channel can go live
Before choosing a cloud service, verify that YouTube Live is available on the channel you intend to use. YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance says the channel must be verified and must not have had live-stream restrictions in the previous 90 days. Enabling live streaming for the first time can take up to 24 hours, so complete activation and confirm access well before the planned broadcast.

- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
3. Choose a cloud playout approach
A cloud encoder or playout service runs the playlist and sends the live feed to YouTube from its own infrastructure. Your home computer and internet connection do not need to remain on, but the service’s own ingest support, connectivity, monitoring, and recovery behavior still matter. Check the provider’s current documentation before committing.
For a ready-made option, StreamNeo is a YouTube cloud service for looping uploaded videos and playlists. Upload the recording or build the playlist, add the YouTube stream key, and go live. It is #1 to try for this use case because it runs continuously from the cloud, accepts uploads as made up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and offers the first day free.

YouTube’s encoder directory also lists Gyre for 24/7 streaming of prerecorded videos and AWS Elemental MediaLive as a broadcast-grade processing service. Those listings are examples, not endorsements or a comparison of price or suitability for a small devotional channel. Compare each candidate on:
- Continuous prerecorded playlist support and scheduling controls.
- YouTube ingest compatibility, reconnect behavior, stream-health monitoring, and alerting.
- Support for your video and audio formats, resolution, and intended program length.
- Archive options, channel controls, and how an operator can intervene if playback stops.
- Total current cost and availability in your location.
- How the service handles rights-related interruptions; no playout provider can grant music rights on your behalf.
4. Create the YouTube event and connect the cloud encoder
- Create or schedule a live event in YouTube Studio. Choose the channel, title, visibility, and schedule that suit your audience. Follow the current Studio prompts to create the stream with an encoder and open its Live Control Room.
- Copy the ingest credentials from YouTube. In the event’s stream settings, locate the stream URL and stream key. Enter them in the cloud service’s YouTube or encoder settings. Treat the key like a password: do not publish it, share it in screenshots, or place it in public documents. If it is exposed, replace or reset it in YouTube Studio and update the service.
- Choose a supported ingest protocol. YouTube recommends RTMPS for encoder streaming. HLS is also available for compatible encoders, but it requires an HLS stream URL, TS segments, a rolling playlist, and HTTPS POST/PUT; YouTube notes that HLS has higher latency because it sends segments instead of a continuous stream. For a simple always-on music program, RTMPS is the more straightforward starting point unless your provider or workflow requires HLS. See YouTube’s HLS setup instructions.
- Set and verify the video and audio output. Use settings supported by both YouTube and your cloud provider. YouTube’s encoder settings guide covers H.264, H.265/HEVC, and AV1, resolution-dependent bitrate ranges, and audio settings. For RTMP/RTMPS stereo audio, it specifies AAC or MP3 and recommends 128 Kbps. These are YouTube platform recommendations, not a tested profile for every service.
- Set keyframes and inspect the playlist. YouTube recommends a two-second keyframe interval and advises not exceeding four seconds. Confirm the encoder can apply the selected interval. Check that the playlist has the intended order, plays through as expected, and does not contain an accidental gap, black screen, or silence at transitions.
5. Test the exact program before going live
Start the cloud service’s test or preview mode and check the YouTube Live Control Room preview before making the event public. Test the actual bhajan recordings and playlist transitions—not just a static test image—and listen for clean stereo audio, clipping, unexpected silence, or mismatched audio and video. YouTube recommends testing with movement and audio similar to the real stream and monitoring stream health.

- Confirm that the correct event and channel receive the feed.
- Check the preview for the expected resolution, stable picture, and intelligible audio.
- Look for warnings or stream-health issues in Live Control Room and address them before starting the public broadcast.
- Verify what viewers see if the cloud service pauses, reconnects, or runs out of playlist content.
YouTube’s streaming tips discuss leaving upload-bandwidth headroom for a local encoder. With cloud playout, that upload path is the service’s connection to YouTube, not your home connection. Check the provider’s stated connectivity, monitoring, and support arrangements; a successful preview does not establish guaranteed uptime.
6. Plan for interruptions and all-day duration
Decide who will receive service alerts and who can restart or adjust the broadcast if the feed stops. YouTube recommends testing and monitoring, but the cited guidance does not promise that a cloud provider will automatically recover or maintain uninterrupted uptime. Confirm the provider’s reconnect behavior rather than assuming it.

- Please Note: To reach 10Gbps speed, keep the cable under 3.3 ft. For USB A Male to USB C adapters, try flipping the USB C connector. USB C Male to USB A adapters support bidirectional 10Gbps transfer within 3.3 ft
Also plan for what happens at the end of the program. YouTube says, “All streams under 12 hours will be automatically archived,” in its encoder setup guidance. That statement does not establish what archive will be available for a stream lasting 12 hours or longer, so do not promise viewers a complete single replay for an all-day broadcast. Check YouTube Studio’s current behavior and consider separate, rights-cleared programming blocks or a separately published VOD only after confirming the applicable rules and permissions.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I run the stream from a phone instead of a computer?
This workflow uses prerecorded video in a cloud playout service, so a phone does not need to stay online to keep the playlist playing.
Does YouTube automatically save a full replay of an all-day stream?
YouTube’s stated automatic-archive guidance covers streams shorter than 12 hours; it does not establish the archive result for streams lasting 12 hours or more.
