Larix Broadcaster supports background streaming on Android by default, according to Softvelum’s FAQ. Start the stream while your Vivo phone is unlocked, confirm it is live, then lock the screen. If it stops, check Larix’s background and battery permissions: Android’s Restricted battery mode prevents background operation, and Vivo may apply additional model-specific controls.
Start the stream before locking your Vivo
- Open Larix Broadcaster and connect to your streaming destination while the phone is unlocked.
- Confirm the destination shows the stream as live before turning off the screen.
- Lock the screen and check the stream from another device if possible. Larix’s background-streaming behavior is documented by Softvelum, but an uninterrupted session is not guaranteed for every phone configuration.
Do not force-close Larix if you want it to keep streaming. Softvelum says Android background streaming is available by default until the user explicitly closes the app.
If the stream stops, check background restrictions
Review Android’s battery mode for Larix
Android provides Unrestricted, Optimized, and Restricted battery modes for apps. Optimized is the default; Restricted fully prevents background operation. Open your phone’s app battery settings, find Larix Broadcaster, and check its assigned mode. If it is Restricted, change it to a mode that permits background use. Android’s documentation explains these modes at Background optimization. Manufacturer software can impose additional limits.
Look for Vivo background-power controls
Vivo’s support index identifies a “High background power consumption” setting, but it does not give one menu path that applies to all phones. Settings labels and availability vary by model and software version. In Settings, search for Larix, battery, or background-use controls; if the relevant option is not shown, consult the manual or Vivo support for your exact device. See Vivo’s support index.

Test changes one at a time
- Make sure Larix is not explicitly closed.
- Temporarily allow Larix background use or relax its battery restriction, using the options available on your phone.
- Start a fresh stream and lock the screen to check whether the change resolved the issue.
There is no single toggle that can be promised to fix background streaming on every Vivo. The phone model, Android release, and Funtouch OS or OriginOS version matter.
Separate app restrictions from battery or signal problems
Live streaming, mobile-data use, background activity, and a weak signal can all contribute to higher power consumption. Vivo also notes that weak signal and long live-streaming sessions can increase battery use; its guidance is available at Vivo China support. If the phone stays online but its battery is draining, a compatible power bank may extend the session. It will not prevent Android or Vivo software from stopping a restricted app.

Troubleshoot a stream that still ends
