To give both Thaletas and Kyra the best chance of surviving Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s Silver Islands story, finish their quests before killing Podarkes or completing the conquest battle, avoid romancing Kyra, kill the fanatic prisoner in The Sokratic Method, and encourage Kyra to find a new purpose at the farewell party. The route is choice-dependent, so this is the safest documented approach—not a guarantee for every combination of earlier choices.
Follow both leaders’ plans before ending the rebellion
In Trouble in Paradise, you can side initially with Kyra’s plan to destroy Athenian supplies on Delos or Thaletas’s plan to sink Athenian ships. Ubisoft says choosing one does not prevent you from carrying out the other plan; the choice affects the leaders’ immediate reactions, rather than locking you out of the other questline. Ubisoft’s overview of the Mykonos story explains the two plans and their relationship consequences.
Complete the available Silver Islands quests for both leaders before killing Podarkes and finishing the conquest battle. The GameFAQs walkthrough warns that resolving those objectives can close off remaining island quests. Thaletas’s route includes ship and commander objectives followed by a conquest battle, so do not treat the initial plan choice as the point of no return.
Avoid the choices that create separate survival risks
Do not romance Kyra if both characters’ survival is the priority
Romancing Kyra can prompt a confrontation with Thaletas. Ubisoft cautions that romance choices can have later consequences, and the walkthrough shows that the outcome depends on earlier decisions. Avoiding the romance is therefore the conservative choice for a both-survive run; the available guides do not establish that it guarantees safety across every possible route.

Kill the fanatic in The Sokratic Method
In The Sokratic Method, kill the fanatic prisoner rather than sparing him if you want to minimize the risk to Thaletas. The Neoseeker quest guide says sparing him can lead to him poisoning Thaletas at the party.
If you already spared the prisoner, community discussion reports that leaving the party without giving a speech can avert the poisoning. That is a less firmly supported workaround than killing the fanatic during the quest, so do not rely on it as a certain fix. Steam discussion of the party outcome documents the community advice.

At the farewell party, give Kyra a reason to continue
During A Night to Remember, talk with Kyra and encourage her to find a new purpose. The Gosunoob guide to the Kyra and Thaletas choices warns that a different response can lead Kyra to take her own life. This late conversation is a distinct risk from Thaletas’s possible poisoning: handling one does not resolve the other.
