To kill a Skulker in ARC Raiders, keep it in sight, fight from hard cover, break its legs when it pauses or commits to an attack, then finish its body with concentrated precision fire. The Anvil, Renegade and Osprey are the clearest weapon choices for this sequence. If its turret is deployed and precision ammunition is scarce, switch to a heavy-ammo weapon and finish the machine before it can reposition.
Why Skulkers are dangerous
The Skulker is a small, fast ground ARC introduced with the Frozen Trail update on Pendola Pass. It is designed as an ambush enemy: it waits near the edge of your vision, attacks with a flurry of blows or short bursts of fire, then retreats when players lose track of it.

Visual contact is the most important defensive rule. The Arc Raiders enemy database summarizes the counterplay this way: “Keep eyes on it. If you lose sight of it, it retreats and sets up the next ambush. Check corners, stay with your squad and finish it quickly once it commits to an attack.”
Step-by-step kill plan

Take hard cover without losing sight of the Skulker
Use a wall, crate or similar solid object to break its firing lane, but keep a view of the machine and its approach. Do not chase it blindly around a corner. Cover protects you while denying the retreat-and-ambush cycle.

Wait for a committed attack or turret deployment
The Skulker is more difficult to damage before deploying its turret, although heavy ammunition can still kill it in that state. Its attack commitment or turret setup creates a more predictable window for aiming and coordinated fire.

Shoot the legs first
Target the leg components before trying to burn down the body. Breaking or damaging the legs pins or slows the Skulker, reducing the movement that makes its small frame difficult to hit.

Unload a precision burst into the body
Once its mobility is reduced, place a focused burst into the body with a precision weapon. The Anvil, Renegade and Osprey are cited options; available evidence does not establish that one has universally higher damage than the others.

Finish immediately and regroup
Do not pause after disabling it. Complete the kill while it is committed, then return to your squad and check surrounding angles. A second ARC or a repositioned Skulker can exploit a separated player.

Weapons: what to use and when
The practical comparison is not a single damage ranking. Choose around four questions: how quickly the weapon can disable the legs, how accurately it handles a small moving target, how much ammunition the fight consumes, and whether the turret is already active.

Keep enough ammunition for the finishing burst. Shooting the body while the Skulker is still fully mobile wastes rounds and gives it more time to break line of sight.

Where to find a Skulker
Skulkers are associated with Pendola Pass. For the Tracks of the Beast quest, the northern tracks and Almatera Station are useful places to search. A characteristic beep can help you locate one before it attacks, especially when the machine is hidden near the edge of your view.

Squad tactics and common mistakes
Chasing around corners
A disappearing Skulker is usually setting up its next ambush, not fleeing permanently. Hold a covered angle, communicate its last position and advance only when teammates can watch the blind side.
Firing at the body first
The moving body is a poor opening target. Legs are the practical control point; reducing mobility turns the later precision burst into a shorter, safer engagement.
Splitting from the team
Stay with teammates during the encounter. A player who pushes alone can be hit by the Skulker’s retreat angle or by another ARC while the squad is unable to provide covering fire.
Waiting too long after turret deployment
The turret is a cue to act, not to abandon the fight. If precision ammunition is low, use heavy ammunition and complete the kill while the Skulker is committed.
Skulker Targeter reward
Guides report a Skulker Targeter as an item obtained by defeating the enemy. Exact drop rates, component hit points, damage multipliers and a complete loot table have not been established, so no percentage or confirmed numerical health value should be assumed.
