To listen, register a free account, open the campaign page while riding the train, enable location and speed measurement, complete the questionnaire, and play the drama. Listening also makes you eligible for a ride certificate that can be exchanged for an original acrylic keychain at designated Osaka locations.
What is the Evangelion Shinkansen audio drama?
JR Central’s Oshi-tabi campaign features “Kansai Travel Plan,” an original voice drama available as limited in-train content on the Tokaido Shinkansen. In the story, Misato and Ritsuko go ahead to scout Kansai destinations while planning a school trip for the pilots. The planned group includes Shinji, Rei, Asuka, Mari, and Kaworu, according to Siliconera’s English-language report.

Kotono Mitsuishi voices Misato and Yuriko Yamaguchi voices Ritsuko. The campaign is being held alongside the Osaka presentation of the Evangelion 30th-anniversary exhibition “ALL OF EVANGELION.”
How to listen while riding the Tokaido Shinkansen
- Register a free account on the official JR Central Oshi-tabi campaign page.
- While riding the Tokaido Shinkansen during the campaign, open that page and enable location and speed measurement when prompted.
- Complete the questionnaire and play “Kansai Travel Plan” through the campaign page.
JR Central says Shinkansen Free Wi-Fi is not required. Siliconera reports that playback is triggered once the train reaches a certain speed after leaving Shin-Yokohama; the official participation instructions confirm the location and speed measurement requirements but do not specify that station-and-speed trigger.

How to claim the acrylic keychain
After listening, passengers can obtain a ride certificate and exchange it for an original acrylic keychain. The certificate can be obtained once per day and is generally valid until 23:59 on the following day; on the campaign’s final day, it is valid only that day. Exchange locations change partway through the campaign:

JR Central warns that opening hours and closures may change, so check the campaign page before making plans to redeem the certificate.

- Voice drama campaign: October 18, 2026, through January 31, 2027.
- Osaka exhibition: “ALL OF EVANGELION” runs October 18, 2026, through January 11, 2027.
- Tokyo Station poster: JR Central lists a poster at the Nihombashi-guchi ticket gate area from December 9, 2026, through January 7, 2027. Posting dates and placement may change. Entering the station requires a valid admission ticket or travel ticket.
The poster is separate from the onboard listening activity; the campaign’s audio drama is accessed while riding the Tokaido Shinkansen. Check the official campaign page for current participation details, exchange information, and any changes to schedules or venue hours.
