YouTube’s playlist repeat control is for ordinary viewing; it does not turn a playlist into a live broadcast. First confirm you have permission to livestream every recording and any music it contains.
Choose the right kind of loop
There are two different goals:
- Repeat a published YouTube playlist for yourself: use YouTube’s playlist Loop control while watching. This repeats playback for the viewer; it does not create a live event. YouTube documents separate steps for desktop, Android, and TV or gaming consoles. YouTube’s playlist-loop instructions cover the viewer controls.
- Broadcast recordings as a live stream: play files you have locally through an encoder, such as OBS, and send that output to YouTube Live. The encoder’s loop setting repeats the media, while the encoder and its internet connection carry the broadcast.
The official workflow does not identify a special Gujarati-language setting. The important differences are whether you need a live broadcast, whether you have retransmission rights, and whether you can keep the encoder running and monitor it.
Before you start
- Prepare the recordings: have the meditation audio or video files available locally. For a multi-file playlist in OBS, the VLC Video source requires VLC to be installed.
- Check channel eligibility: YouTube says livestreaming requires a verified channel with no livestream restriction in the preceding 90 days. If this is your first time enabling live streaming, activation may take up to 24 hours. See YouTube’s encoder livestream setup guidance.
- Get broadcast permission: a recording being publicly available on YouTube does not by itself establish that you may rebroadcast it. Verify permission for the guided meditation, music, and any other third-party material.
- Plan to monitor the stream: looping repeats the source; it does not guarantee uninterrupted power, computer operation, internet access, or YouTube availability.
Set up a repeating live stream with OBS
1. Add one recording or a playlist
- Open OBS Studio and create or select the scene you want to broadcast.
- For one local audio or video file, add a Media Source, choose the file, and enable Loop in the source properties.
- For several local files, add a VLC Video source, select the playlist files, and enable Loop Playlist. Install VLC first if OBS does not offer or load the VLC source.
- Check the scene preview and audio levels. Make sure the video is framed as intended and that the meditation audio is audible without clipping.
OBS documents these controls in its Media Sources guide. The loop option restarts or repeats media; it is not a setting that keeps OBS itself running.
2. Connect OBS to YouTube
- In YouTube Studio, open Go live and create or select an encoder stream in Live Control Room.
- Open the stream settings and copy the stream URL and stream key shown by YouTube.
- In OBS, open Settings > Stream, select YouTube as the service, and enter the stream key and server details as prompted. Treat the key like a password: do not share it publicly.
- Start sending the feed from OBS. Check the YouTube Live Control Room preview and verify picture and sound before starting or promoting the live broadcast.
YouTube describes the stream key as sensitive connection information and explains stream setup and preview in Manage live stream settings.

- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
3. Start the broadcast and keep watch
- Confirm the YouTube preview is receiving the intended looping recording and that the audio is present.
- Start the live event in Live Control Room when the preview is ready. Keep OBS, the computer, power, and internet connection operating for the duration you need.
- Check the live output periodically, especially after the first loop or a change between playlist files.
Copyright and YouTube Live restrictions
YouTube scans live streams for matches to third-party content. If it identifies material, it may replace the live feed with a placeholder, interrupt the stream, or terminate it. A license alone may not prevent automated interruption: YouTube says a rights owner may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. Read YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams and confirm the specific permissions for your recordings before broadcasting.
Common problems and fixes
| Problem | What to check | Practical fix |
|---|---|---|
| The YouTube playlist repeats for viewers, but there is no live stream. | You are using YouTube’s viewer-side playlist Loop control. | Use local media in an encoder such as OBS, connect it to YouTube Live, and start an encoder broadcast. |
| A single file stops instead of repeating. | The Media Source’s loop option may be off. | Open the OBS Media Source properties and enable Loop. |
| A multi-file playlist ends after its last item. | The VLC Video source’s playlist loop may be off, or VLC may not be installed. | Install VLC if needed, then enable Loop Playlist in the source properties. |
| YouTube does not receive the encoder feed. | Check the selected stream, stream URL, and key. A mistyped or outdated key can prevent connection. | Copy the current connection details from YouTube Live Control Room into OBS and check the preview again. Keep the stream key private. |
| Live streaming is unavailable on the channel. | Check channel verification, any livestream restriction in the preceding 90 days, and whether first-time activation is still pending. | Complete YouTube’s eligibility steps and allow up to 24 hours for first-time activation. |
| The feed is interrupted after it starts. | Possible causes include encoder or computer stoppage, power or internet loss, or YouTube detecting third-party material. | Check OBS and the connection, restore the encoder feed, and review YouTube’s copyright notice. Resolve rights or allowlisting issues with the rights owner where applicable. |
