In XSplit Broadcaster, add a Video Playlist source to your scene: Add source > Scene Widgets > Video Playlist, then add your video files and save. XSplit describes the source as supporting continuous playback. Its available setup guidance does not identify the exact loop or repeat control, so check the playlist’s current properties in your installed version rather than relying on an assumed checkbox name. Separately configure XSplit’s YouTube broadcast output, test the stream, and keep the computer and internet connection running while you broadcast.
Make a video playlist in XSplit Broadcaster
- Open the scene you want to use, then choose Add source > Scene Widgets > Video Playlist.
- In the playlist source properties, choose Add, select the video files you want to play, and confirm with OK. XSplit describes the source as providing continuous playback of multiple videos.
- Inspect the playlist source’s available properties in your installed version. The published setup guidance does not show the current loop control or name its label, so do not assume a particular checkbox, menu, or playback behavior. Confirm that the playlist continues as intended in a test before relying on it unattended.
- Arrange the playlist in the scene with any other sources you need. XSplit scenes are collections of sources, so you can compose the playlist with other scene elements as appropriate.
Continuous playback is not the same as verified gapless playback: the available documentation does not promise that adjacent files will switch with no pause. Test transitions and audio between the actual files you plan to use.
Connect XSplit to YouTube Live
- In YouTube Live Control Room, prepare or select the live event and obtain the active stream details.
- In XSplit, open Broadcast and select the YouTube output. Enter or choose the broadcast details requested by the output, then start the broadcast.
- If you are using a generic encoder configuration instead of a direct YouTube selection, enter the current stream URL and stream key shown in YouTube Live Control Room.
- Keep the stream key private. Treat it like a credential: do not show it in screenshots, public instructions, or a broadcast scene.
For a scheduled stream, XSplit’s Manual Transition setting affects whether you must also click Go Live in YouTube Studio after starting the XSplit output. It is a start-flow setting, not evidence that XSplit will automatically recover from an outage or resume a playlist after a failure.
Test before leaving the stream unattended
- Run a representative test with the same kinds of video and audio you intend to broadcast; check file transitions as well as playback within each file.
- Use an encoder bitrate appropriate to the upload capacity of the connection that will carry the stream. Avoid treating a brief successful test as proof that the connection can sustain the stream indefinitely.
- Preview the event and monitor YouTube’s stream health and any messages during the test and broadcast.
- Confirm that the computer, XSplit, and network connection will remain available for the intended streaming period. A local encoder depends on the machine and connection running.
Understand YouTube’s archive limit for long streams
YouTube says encoder streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. That guidance does not establish that a stream running longer than 12 hours will be saved as one complete replay. A 24/7 broadcast should therefore not be treated as a reliable way to create a single, complete archive of the entire session.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Copyright and playlist content
Only include video and audio you have the rights or permission to stream. A playlist that plays continuously does not itself establish permission to use the material, and a live broadcast does not make copyrighted material safe to rebroadcast. Review YouTube’s current rules for your content and intended use before going live; the available XSplit setup guidance does not determine whether any particular video is permitted or how YouTube will assess a channel’s content.
Common problems and what to check
- The playlist does not continue: Reopen the Video Playlist source properties and inspect the controls available in your installed XSplit version. The published setup instructions establish continuous playback capability but do not specify a current loop-control label. Test the playlist rather than relying on an undocumented setting.
- YouTube does not receive the broadcast: Check that XSplit is using the intended YouTube output and that any event details are correct. For a generic encoder, confirm that the stream URL and key are the active values from Live Control Room; replace exposed or outdated credentials there.
- The event is prepared but not live: Check whether the scheduled-stream workflow requires the separate Go Live action in YouTube Studio. Manual Transition concerns that final start action; it does not restart a failed stream.
- Playback stutters or stream health reports trouble: Check the upload connection and encoder bitrate, then run another representative test while monitoring YouTube’s stream-health messages.
- The replay is incomplete or missing after a long broadcast: YouTube’s stated automatic archive guidance applies to streams under 12 hours; it does not promise a complete archive for a longer 24/7 session.
Or let it run in the cloud
If your priority is keeping uploaded videos on a YouTube live stream without leaving XSplit, a computer, or a home connection running, StreamNeo is a cloud option: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. It loops uploaded videos from the cloud; it does not stream from a camera.
