There are two different ways to “loop” Tamil lessons on YouTube: repeat a playlist for yourself while watching, or broadcast prerecorded lessons continuously as a YouTube Live event. The first uses YouTube’s playback controls; the second requires an eligible channel and an encoder connected through YouTube Studio. A viewer-side Loop button does not create a live broadcast.
Repeat a Tamil lesson playlist while watching
YouTube’s playlist repeat control works for Tamil educational videos just as it does for other playlists; there is no Tamil-specific setting.
- Open a video that belongs to the playlist.
- On a computer: expand the playlist panel and select the Loop control. This repeats the playlist. Use the single-video repeat option instead if you want only the current lesson to replay.
- On mobile: use the Loop control in the playlist control box under the video.
- On a TV or game console: open the playback controls and choose Repeat until the indicator shows that the playlist is repeating.
YouTube’s labels and control placement can change, so look for the control’s repeat function if the wording differs. These controls affect playback for the person watching; they do not send the playlist out as a live stream. YouTube Help: Loop videos or playlists.
Broadcast prerecorded lessons as a YouTube Live event
To make viewers see prerecorded lessons as a live broadcast on your channel, use YouTube’s Live Control Room and an encoder. YouTube describes encoders as software or hardware that send a video feed; its playlist Repeat button is not a Live broadcast feature.

Before you set up the stream
- Check that your channel is verified, livestreaming is enabled, and the channel has no current livestream restrictions. First-time livestream enablement can take up to 24 hours. YouTube Help: Get started with live streaming.
- Confirm you have the rights to broadcast every lesson, image, music track, and other item in the feed. YouTube’s livestream terms require the rights needed for worldwide exploitation of the live content. A video being available to watch on YouTube does not mean you have permission to retransmit it.
- Choose an encoder and a playback setup that can keep the source playlist repeating. The official YouTube setup guidance explains the encoder connection workflow, but does not prescribe a repeat procedure for a specific encoder or playback application.
Connect and start the broadcast
- In YouTube Studio, select Create → Go live, then create or schedule an event in the Live Control Room.
- Choose the encoder workflow in Live Control Room. Copy the stream URL and stream key shown there into your encoder. Treat the stream key as a password: do not publish or share it.
- Set up the encoder or its playback source to send the prerecorded playlist repeatedly. The exact repeat control depends on the encoder or playback setup; YouTube’s general instructions do not establish a universal menu path.
- Check the preview before going live. Confirm the watch page opens, test access on a phone, and check that both audio and video are playing as intended.
- Start the encoder feed and monitor the stream while it is live. When the broadcast is finished, stop sending the encoder feed.
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Its guidance does not support promising an automatic archive for a stream lasting 12 hours or longer. See YouTube Help: Set up your encoder for live streaming.
Rights and YouTube policy for lesson streams
Use only lessons and other material you are authorized to broadcast. YouTube says livestreams may be interrupted or terminated if third-party content is detected and not addressed. This matters for recorded lessons containing music, illustrations, clips, or other material created by someone else. Review YouTube’s Terms of Service and its copyright guidance before broadcasting.

Choose the route that fits your goal
- You just want to study or review: use YouTube’s playlist Loop control. It is the simplest option and does not require setting up a live event.
- You want an audience to watch a live event: use the encoder workflow. It requires an eligible channel, a configured encoder and source, ongoing monitoring, and broadcast rights.
