Airtel broadband supplies the connection; it does not make the playlist a public livestream. If you mean broadcasting prerecorded videos from your YouTube channel 24/7, that is a separate setup requiring an encoder or cloud streaming service, sufficient upload bandwidth, and permission to broadcast the content.
Loop a playlist for continuous personal playback
- Open the playlist on a computer. Start a video that belongs to the playlist and expand the playlist panel.
- Turn on playlist Loop. Select the Loop icon for the playlist. On a TV or gaming console, select the playlist and use its Repeat control until playlist repeat is active. YouTube’s controls and labels can vary by device; consult YouTube’s playlist help if the control is not where expected.
- Check playback and power settings. Choose the playback quality you need and prevent the device from sleeping if you want playback to continue. Leave it running long enough to see whether your particular YouTube app, device, and account present a pause or continue-watching prompt.
- Improve the home-network connection if needed. A wired Ethernet connection to the router may help reduce Wi-Fi variability. It is optional and cannot prevent an Airtel outage or guarantee uninterrupted playback. Other people and devices using the same connection also share available capacity.
Loop and Autoplay are different. Loop repeats the playlist; Autoplay advances to related videos and does not promise to keep the chosen playlist repeating. YouTube documents device-specific autoplay behavior, including a four-hour inactivity stop on Wi-Fi, and continue-watching prompts whose intervals vary across mobile, web, and TV. Treat unattended playback as something to verify on the exact device rather than assume will run indefinitely. See YouTube’s autoplay help and continue-watching help.
Check Airtel plan limits before leaving playback on
Airtel India’s current Xstream Fiber plan page advertises unlimited data and lists varying advertised speeds, including plans up to 1 Gbps. Availability and plan terms vary. Airtel’s published broadband terms state a 3333 GB fair-usage threshold per billing cycle, after which speed is reduced to 1 Mbps; the terms also reserve the ability to amend the FUP. “Unlimited” on a plan page therefore should not be read as a guarantee that no FUP applies. Check the terms attached to your own plan or ask Airtel to confirm the current allowance and post-threshold speed.
There is no reliable fixed data-use estimate for a YouTube playlist without knowing its resolution, codec, actual playback bitrate, and hours watched. Do not treat the livestream bitrates below as measurements of ordinary playlist viewing.

If you mean broadcasting a 24/7 live stream
A loop on a YouTube watch page is private playback, not a public live broadcast. To send prerecorded videos to viewers as a channel livestream, you need a playback source and an encoder that sends the stream to YouTube using your channel’s stream key. The computer and connection running a local encoder must remain available; plan for power, network interruptions, and monitoring.
Prepare the YouTube broadcast
- Confirm the channel can livestream and create a live stream in YouTube Studio. Use the stream key provided for that broadcast in the encoder. Treat the key like a password: do not publish it, share it, or include it in a screenshot. If it is exposed, replace or reset it in YouTube Studio before broadcasting again.
- Choose a source you are allowed to rebroadcast. A public playlist is not permission to retransmit its videos. Rights in third-party videos remain with their rights holders, and a “no infringement intended” disclaimer does not grant permission or automatically establish fair use.
- Set the encoder’s video and bitrate for your actual upload connection. YouTube’s current H.264 guidance recommends 6 Mbps for 720p30 and 10 Mbps for 1080p30. Its recommendations depend on codec and frame rate; use the current encoder guide for other combinations rather than treating these figures as universal. These are live-stream ingest settings, not a fixed data-use rate for watching YouTube.
- Test before relying on the stream. YouTube recommends testing and monitoring stream health. Check the picture, audio, and encoder status before treating it as ready for a long broadcast.
Measure upload bandwidth, not just download speed
YouTube’s guidance states, “The total bitrate of your stream cannot exceed the amount of upload bandwidth available.” It recommends leaving about 20% upload headroom. Run a speed test under realistic conditions, with the devices and other household traffic that will normally be active. Airtel’s advertised plan speed alone does not establish sustained upload capacity or uninterrupted service. A wired connection may help, but it cannot fix an ISP outage.

For example, a 1080p30 H.264 stream using YouTube’s recommended 10 Mbps bitrate needs more than 10 Mbps of stable available upload capacity to leave the recommended headroom; allow for competing traffic as well. If the connection cannot sustain the encoder’s total bitrate, lower the stream settings or use a different connection or hosting approach.
Copyright and playlist rules still apply
Repeating videos does not make them your content or give you rebroadcast rights. YouTube’s playlist policy also applies to the playlist’s contents, metadata, and composition; misleading titles or descriptions and harmful collections can violate policy even when individual videos do not. Fair use is case-specific, jurisdiction matters, and courts decide it. Read YouTube’s playlist policy and YouTube’s fair-use guidance before building a public broadcast around material you did not create or license.
