Clean the Double-Barreled Shotgun with in-game Gun Oil from the weapon menu, or take it to an in-game gunsmith for cleaning. The first option requires Gun Oil; the gunsmith is the alternative when you would rather use that service.
Clean the shotgun with Gun Oil
- Open the in-game weapon menu and select the Double-Barreled Shotgun.
- Choose the clean option and use Gun Oil when prompted.
The gameplay guide identifies Gun Oil as the item needed to clean a weapon yourself, but does not verify exact button prompts for PC, PlayStation, or Xbox. Follow the prompt shown in your game rather than relying on a platform-specific button sequence.

Use a gunsmith instead
If you do not have Gun Oil or prefer not to clean the shotgun yourself, visit an in-game gunsmith and ask for the weapon to be cleaned. A price or speed comparison between the two methods is not established.
Why the shotgun needs maintenance
Repeated use can degrade weapons, and the gameplay guide also points to dirt and water as environmental contributors. It says shotguns and rifles are more susceptible to soot than guns and revolvers, making upkeep relevant for the Double-Barreled Shotgun.
