Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteTo loop fireplace visuals with rain sounds on YouTube Live, add the finished video to OBS as a Media Source, turn on Loop, then send OBS’s output to a YouTube encoder stream. OBS repeats the file; YouTube receives the live feed. The YouTube player itself does not loop your source file.
Prepare the fireplace-and-rain video
For the simplest setup, combine the fireplace footage and rain audio into one video file. You can also use separate sources in OBS, but make sure the scene includes both the picture and sound and that they stay in sync. Use visuals and audio you created yourself or have permission to broadcast.
Check the finished file before going live: confirm the audio is present, the fireplace image is the intended one, and the end joins the beginning cleanly. A visible black frame, abrupt audio cut, or silence at the boundary will repeat with every loop.
Set up the loop in OBS
- Add the media: In OBS, add a Media Source to the scene and select your local video file.
- Enable repetition: Open the Media Source properties and check Loop. OBS’s documentation describes this option as replaying the file when playback finishes. See the OBS Media Sources documentation (dated January 11, 2022).
- Check the scene: Play the source in OBS and verify that both video and audio are coming through. Let it reach the end and restart at least once to inspect the join.
OBS is the encoder in this arrangement: it plays the local file and sends a live audio-video feed to YouTube. The computer running OBS and its internet connection need to remain available while you use this local method.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Connect OBS to YouTube Live
- In YouTube Studio, open the Live Control Room and create or select an encoder stream.
- Copy the stream’s server URL and stream key from YouTube into OBS’s streaming settings. Treat the key like a password: anyone who obtains it may be able to send a feed to your stream.
- Start streaming from OBS. YouTube’s encoder setup guide explains that sending content from the encoder is what takes the stream live: YouTube: Stream with an encoder.
- Open the resulting YouTube watch page and confirm that viewers can see the fireplace and hear the rain. Check the live feed rather than relying only on OBS’s local preview.
Test the complete sequence before leaving the stream unattended: watch the file finish and restart, check the YouTube feed at the transition, and make sure the expected sound remains audible. These are practical checks, not guarantees that a stream will remain uninterrupted.
Make sure you have rights to both parts
Copyright applies to ambient recordings as well as music and visuals. YouTube says: “All live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content, including copyrighted content in the form of another live broadcast.” Its help page warns that a live stream may be replaced with a placeholder, interrupted, or terminated when third-party content is detected. If you have a license, ask the rights holder to allowlist your channel through Content ID; a license alone may not prevent an interruption if the channel is not allowlisted. See YouTube’s guidance on copyrighted content in live streams.

Confirm permission for the fireplace footage and the rain recording separately, including any music or sound bed. If the content is prerecorded, describe it honestly as a live stream of ambient content rather than suggesting the fireplace or rainfall is being captured in real time. A cloud encoder changes where the stream runs; it does not remove YouTube’s content rules or your responsibility for rights.
Know what YouTube archives
YouTube Help says live streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. That is an archive rule, not a promise that a particular stream will be uninterrupted or that every stream will be available indefinitely. Consult YouTube’s encoder streaming guidance for the current platform details.
