Bring a Ghost Sim back with Ambrosia

- Prepare Ambrosia: the Sim cooking it needs sufficiently high Gardening and Cooking skills. Electronic Arts’ announcement does not specify numeric thresholds or explain how to obtain the ingredients.
- Have the Ghost Sim eat the dish: the ghost must consume Ambrosia for this method to bring them back to life.
Electronic Arts described the dish’s purpose directly: “If a Sim has a high enough gardening and cooking skill they can make a tasty plate of Ambrosia to bring ghosts back from the dead.” EA’s ghost announcement

Make sure you can interact with the ghost
A ghost may already be playable as part of your household, or it may be free-roaming. For a free-roaming ghost, EA says to use the ghost’s urn or tombstone and choose Add Ghost to Household. Once the ghost is in your household, you can arrange for them to eat the Ambrosia.
Do not choose “Release Spirit to the Netherworld” if you intend to restore that Sim. EA says that after releasing the spirit, “you can’t bring this Ghost back.” EA Help: The Sims 4 death guide
Other resurrection options depend on packs
EA’s death-guide search excerpt names two alternatives, but the guide itself does not provide enough accessible detail to establish exact steps or outcomes. Check the in-game requirements for your installed content before relying on either option.
- Dedeathify: a Spellcaster who has mastered the Untamed School in The Sims 4 Realm of Magic can use this spell to bring a ghost back.

Rebirth is not a direct return to living form
The Sims 4 Life & Death also offers a Rebirth path after the relevant objectives are completed. EA describes the result as the Sim returning as an Infant with bonus Childhood Skills and Reward Traits. That is a different outcome from restoring the ghost directly to their ordinary living form.
