A May 22, 2026 report describes a mod called Combat Clarity for DLSS Ray Reconstruction, but its primary listing and current compatibility are not independently confirmed here. The currently listed Nexus Mods tool No-HUD-No-Effects – Toggle Fog – Swing Trails and MORE is a separate, modular option at version 4.2, updated September 22, 2026.
What the “Combat Clarity” mod is supposed to remove
The specifically named Combat Clarity for DLSS Ray Reconstruction is described in a Digital Citizen report dated May 22, 2026. According to that report, creator perkzy1 made it for ReShade Shader Toggler and targeted visual effects that can mask an enemy’s animation or your own attack timing:

The report says the result is a cleaner combat image and that DLSS Ray Reconstruction users may notice the most benefit. Those are attributed descriptions, not the result of a controlled test. There is no measured frame-rate gain, universal compatibility guarantee or independently verified before-and-after result in the available evidence.

Nexus Mods currently lists No-HUD-No-Effects – Toggle Fog – Swing Trails and MORE by Gametism. The listing shows version 4.2, last updated September 22, 2026. It uses RenderToggler to make selected HUD elements and visual effects switchable rather than permanently removing every effect.
Its described effect groups include:
- Attack debris, floating leaves and grass blades.
- Lens flares and arrow trails.
- Swing and arrow particles.
- Heavy-attack swing trails.
- Rear ghost effects.
- Equipment and environment displacement.
- Fog plus additional screen and interface elements.
Because each group can be toggled, you can remove the effect that blocks a telegraph while retaining particles that help you read distance, impact or an ability’s area. The listing is therefore a control layer, not a promise that every player should disable the same set of effects.
Check Crimson Desert’s own settings first
Third-party changes are not the first troubleshooting step. Pearl Abyss’ official PC patch notes for version 1.03.00, revised April 11, 2026, add two settings relevant to visual clutter:

- Displacement Scale: adjusts the strength of displacement effects.
- Detail Decorative Mesh: controls additional decorative environmental geometry.
The same notes record a fix for noise in screen-distortion effects when DLSS Ray Reconstruction is enabled. Update the game before judging whether a blur or noisy distortion is still present. These options and the fix do not establish that every combat effect can be disabled in the unmodified game, but they can reduce the amount of intervention you need.
A sensible order for testing
- Install the current game update and restart it.
- Set Displacement Scale lower and adjust Detail Decorative Mesh to see whether environmental motion is the main obstruction.
- Check the game’s Accessibility menu for particle or swing-effect controls. The current mod listing says some toggles were removed after official options became available.
- Run a repeatable fight in the same location and lighting before changing DLSS or adding a mod. Look at enemy silhouettes, hit timing and camera distortion rather than judging only overall sharpness.

The Nexus Mods instructions describe a file-based installation and a ReShade configuration step. Labels can change as the author updates the project, so use the current listing’s instructions for the exact archive contents and game version.

- Confirm the project. Verify that the page is No-HUD-No-Effects – Toggle Fog – Swing Trails and MORE, by Gametism, and that the displayed version and update date match the current listing. Do not substitute a download advertised only as “Combat Clarity” unless its author and dependencies are clearly identified.
- Close the game and ReShade. Do not replace add-on files while Crimson Desert is running.
- Extract the archive into the game installation folder. Preserve the archive’s folder structure. If the package contains a readme or a separate add-ons folder, follow the current page rather than flattening everything into one directory.
- Launch the game and open ReShade’s GUI. The listing directs users to the Add-ons tab. Confirm that RenderToggler loads and that its toggle groups are visible.
- Edit the relevant toggle group to change keys. Assign keys that are not already needed for movement, attacks, consumables or accessibility functions. Record your choices so you can restore them after an update.
- Test one group at a time. Enter a safe area or a repeatable encounter, switch a single effect off, and observe whether the attack telegraph becomes easier to follow without removing useful feedback.

Selective toggling is preferable to turning off every group at once. If a fight becomes easier to parse after one change, keep that change and restore the others. A broad “no effects” profile can make the scene cleaner while also removing timing, direction and impact information that the game uses to teach you its combat system.
DLSS Ray Reconstruction: what is and is not established
The named Combat Clarity report is aimed at players using DLSS Ray Reconstruction, and the official 1.03.00 notes specifically mention a fix for noise in screen-distortion effects with that feature. This makes the rendering mode relevant when you diagnose ghosting or noisy warping, but it does not prove that the mod is required for DLSS Ray Reconstruction or that switching it off solves every clarity problem.
Compare configurations deliberately:
- Native DLSS Ray Reconstruction: keep it enabled after applying the official patch and check whether the documented distortion noise is gone.
- Other upscaling or reconstruction choices: use them as a diagnostic comparison if trails or noise remain. A change in reconstruction can alter the appearance of effects without removing the underlying particles.
- Modded configuration: use toggles to remove the particular layer that obscures combat, then return to your preferred reconstruction setting. The available sources do not establish a universal “best” combination.
Troubleshooting checklist
The toggle does nothing
- Confirm the correct add-on is loaded in ReShade’s Add-ons tab.
- Check that you changed the key in the relevant RenderToggler group, not an obsolete ShaderToggler Advanced menu.
- Make sure another mod or the game itself is not consuming the same key.
The game loads two sets of controls
Remove older add-on files as the listing’s changelog recommends. Version 4.1’s switch to RenderToggler means retaining the previous system can cause both to load.

The expected group is missing
Read the current changelog. Swing particles and other controls may have been removed because an official Accessibility or graphics setting now handles them. Recheck Displacement Scale, Detail Decorative Mesh and Accessibility before reinstalling.
The image is still noisy or distorted
Confirm that the game is on the version containing Pearl Abyss’ 1.03.00 fix, then test the same scene without the mod. If the artifact changes when reconstruction settings change, treat it as a rendering configuration issue rather than assuming a particle toggle will correct it.
The game becomes unstable after an update
Disable or remove the add-on, restore the original files, and verify the installation. Because the listing is updated as the game changes, wait for its current compatibility notes before reinstalling an older archive.

You can also say a May 2026 report describes a separate Combat Clarity mod intended to remove ghost trails, impact distortion and terrain kick-up.
You should not claim that either mod guarantees sharper combat, improves performance, works on every game build or is safe after every patch. The reported clarity benefit is descriptive, and no benchmark or independent compatibility test accompanies it.
