You can’t set a documented, account-wide avatar height that carries across Roblox experiences. Roblox’s player-facing avatar instructions explain how to customize appearance, but they do not document a height slider. A game creator can configure character height for a specific experience, so results may differ from one game to another.
Can you change your Roblox avatar’s height?
Roblox’s current player guides for the mobile app and browser describe appearance options, but neither documents a player-controlled height setting. That means there is no verified player workflow for making your avatar taller across Roblox. Body appearance options are not the same as a guaranteed height control.
In the mobile app, open the Avatar or Me tab—its label can vary by region—then choose Customize and Body to find the available body appearance options. The official guide covers skin color and wearing or removing inventory items; it does not show a height slider. Roblox’s mobile avatar customization guide is the reference for those steps.
In a browser, use the Avatar section or editor to customize appearance. Roblox’s documented instructions cover items and skin tone, not a height control. Roblox’s browser avatar instructions describe the supported editing steps.

How can an avatar be taller in one specific game?
A game creator can configure character height for their experience in Roblox Studio. Roblox Studio’s Avatar Settings include a Custom Scale option, which lets creators set an absolute height in studs or define a minimum and maximum height range while maintaining proportions. This setting applies to characters joining that experience; it is not an account-wide player setting. Roblox Creator Hub’s appearance documentation explains the option.
If you want a taller character in a particular game, ask its creator whether the experience uses custom avatar scaling. The setting belongs to that experience, so a character’s height can differ elsewhere. Buying a body package, accessory, or clothing item is not a documented way to increase height across games.

What do Roblox’s avatar height measurements mean?
Roblox Creator Hub gives approximate technical reference dimensions: classic-style avatars are around 5 studs tall, while more humanoid-style proportions are around 6 to 6.5 studs. These are approximate in-game measurements, not conversions to human height and not a promise that any particular experience permits those sizes. Roblox’s appearance documentation provides the references.

For creators, Studio’s Avatar Settings provide an experience-level way to configure character scale. Roblox also documents height, width, head, body type, and proportion as scale traits that can be handled through a HumanoidDescription. Its documentation notes that scaling does not affect R6 body types, so creators should not assume the same scale behavior for every rig. Roblox Creator Hub’s character appearance documentation covers these properties and the R6 limitation.
