1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsThe dependable way to track Pokémon GO battle events is to use the in-game event calendar, then add the official update channels Pokémon GO recommends: push notifications, email subscriptions, and official social accounts. The available official guidance does not document a separate switch that sends alerts only for GO Battle League or other battle events. Treat push notifications as a general Pokémon GO alert channel, not as a guaranteed battle-only feed, and recheck the event listing near the date because schedules can change.
What you can—and cannot—configure for battle-event alerts
Pokémon GO gives you several ways to discover announcements, but the documented controls do not amount to a battle-specific notification system. The official event-calendar announcement identifies the in-game calendar as the place to see events happening now or soon and recommends three additional ways to stay updated: opting in to push notifications, subscribing to emails, and following official social channels.
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
That guidance does not identify a setting named “GO Battle League notifications,” “battle-event alerts,” or anything equivalent. Pokémon GO’s official support material also documents a different alert: a Pokédex bell notification for one previously seen Pokémon. That feature is not evidence of a battle-event switch.
- Event calendar: the documented in-game place to inspect current and upcoming events and open their details.
- Push notifications: app alerts that Pokémon GO recommends enabling, but the cited announcement does not promise that every alert will be battle-related.
- Email: a separate subscription channel for official announcements.
- Official social channels: another way to catch announcements and changes.
- Pokédex alert: a notification for one previously seen Pokémon, requiring Adventure Sync and Pokémon GO push notifications; it is not a battle-event alert.
The practical result is a layered approach: use the calendar for the authoritative event details, and use the other channels to reduce the chance that you miss an announcement.

Where to see upcoming Pokémon GO battle events
- Open Pokémon GO and go to the map screen.
- Tap the calendar icon in the lower-right corner. This opens the event calendar identified in Pokémon GO’s official announcement.
- Browse events happening now or soon. Battle-related activities may appear among the listed events rather than in a separate notification-only area.
- Tap an event. The event entry opens its available details, so read the dates, times, and description there instead of relying on a lock-screen alert or a social post alone.
- Check again close to the event date. Upcoming events are subject to change, so the calendar should be treated as a live listing rather than a permanently fixed schedule.
This calendar check answers the question “Where can I see upcoming Pokémon GO events?” without assuming that a push message will arrive. It is also the best place to resolve ambiguity when a post, email, or older announcement conflicts with the current schedule.
How to turn on Pokémon GO push notifications
Pokémon GO’s event announcement recommends opting in to push notifications, but it does not publish a complete, platform-by-platform setup path. Labels and permission screens can differ between app versions and operating systems. Use the following general process, then confirm the current wording on your device.
- Open Pokémon GO’s Settings. Look for the app’s notification controls. Pokémon GO Help Center guidance places its documented Pokédex alert requirements in the Notifications section of Settings.
- Enable the available Pokémon GO push-notification option. If the game presents a consent prompt or an opt-in control, accept it when you want app alerts.
- Allow notifications at the device level. If your phone or tablet asks whether Pokémon GO may send notifications, grant that permission. The exact operating-system menu name and location can vary.
- Review notification behavior on the device. Check that a system focus mode, notification summary, quiet schedule, or similar setting is not suppressing or delaying app alerts.
- Return to the game and confirm the setting remains enabled. Updating the app, changing devices, or reinstalling can alter permissions, so recheck after a major app or operating-system change.
Enabling push notifications makes you eligible to receive the app’s supported alerts; it does not establish that Pokémon GO will send a notification for every battle event or that the notification will identify only battle content. The official recommendation is to opt in for updates, while the available documentation does not promise a battle-only feed.

Use email and official social channels as backup
Push notifications are only one part of Pokémon GO’s recommended update strategy. The event-calendar announcement specifically advises players to subscribe to official emails and follow Pokémon GO on social media.
Email subscriptions
Subscribe through Pokémon GO’s official account or communication preferences when that option is offered. Email is useful when you do not want to depend on a mobile alert appearing at the right time. Keep in mind that an email announcement and the in-game event listing may not be identical in timing or detail; use the calendar to verify the current event information.
Official social accounts
Follow Pokémon GO’s official social channels rather than relying on reposts or unofficial calendars. Social posts can surface announcements, reminders, or changes, but the post itself should not replace checking the in-game listing. If a social announcement appears to conflict with the calendar, recheck both near the event date and use the most current official information available.

How the channels differ
| Channel | What it is best for | What is not established |
|---|---|---|
| In-game event calendar | Seeing events happening now or soon and opening their details | It is not described as a battle-only notification feed |
| Push notifications | Receiving Pokémon GO app alerts after opting in | The available announcement does not guarantee battle-specific alerts or identical coverage for every event |
| Receiving official announcements outside the game | It is not established that every battle event will generate an email | |
| Official social channels | Catching public announcements and updates | It is not established that social posts cover every event or use the same timing as the calendar |
The documented Pokédex alert is different
Pokémon GO Help Center guidance describes a bell alert for one previously seen Pokémon. To use that feature, Adventure Sync must be enabled and Pokémon GO push notifications must be enabled in the Notifications section of Settings.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →This alert has a narrow purpose: it concerns a selected, previously seen Pokémon. It does not mean the game has a documented control for “notify me about battle events,” GO Battle League cups, or other battle formats. Do not enable the Pokédex bell and expect it to announce a tournament or a league schedule.
The distinction matters because a player can have the prerequisites for the Pokédex alert satisfied while still receiving no battle-event message. That outcome would be consistent with the feature’s documented scope, not proof that the device permission failed.

A practical routine for never relying on one alert
Because the available controls do not promise battle-only notifications, organize your checks around the event calendar and use the other channels as reminders.
When you first hear about an event
- Open the in-game calendar and locate the event.
- Open the listing and read its details, including the stated timing and any eligibility or format information provided there.
- If the listing is not present, look for an official email or social announcement, then check the calendar again later rather than assuming the event has been cancelled.
Before the event
- Confirm that Pokémon GO push notifications are opted in if you want app alerts.
- Check that the device still permits notifications from Pokémon GO.
- Review the calendar again close to the date, since upcoming events can change.
On the event day
- Open the calendar from the map screen instead of waiting for a banner or lock-screen message.
- Open the event entry for the latest available details.
- Use an official email or social post as a secondary confirmation, not as a substitute for the current in-game listing.
What to do when you are not receiving alerts
No notification arrived, but the event is listed
First, open the calendar and inspect the event directly. A missing push message does not show that the event is absent; the documented recommendation is to opt in to push notifications, not a guarantee that each event produces an alert. Then review both the Pokémon GO notification setting and the device’s notification permission.
The notification option is enabled, but alerts are still suppressed
- Check the device permission for Pokémon GO.
- Review focus, quiet, battery-saving, or notification-summary features that may delay alerts.
- Open Pokémon GO again and confirm the in-game notification setting has not reverted.
- Use the event calendar and official email or social channels while troubleshooting so you do not depend on one delivery path.
You expected the Pokédex bell to announce a battle
Verify what you enabled. The documented bell alert is for one previously seen Pokémon and requires Adventure Sync plus Pokémon GO push notifications. It is not documented as a battle-event alert, so changing that feature will not create a GO Battle League notification stream.

- Compatible with Wide Screens - To ensure compatibility with the dual monitor mount, your each monitor must meet three conditions at the same time: First, computer screens size range: 13 to 32 inches. Second, screen weight range: 4.4 to 19.8 lbs. Third, the back of the monitor screen must have VESA mounting holes with a pitch of 75x75mm or 100x100mm.
- Regarding the compatibility with desks - Your desk must meet three conditions at the same time: First, desk material: Only wooden desks are recommended, plastic or glass desks cannot be used. Second, desk thickness range: 0.59" - 3.54". Third, the bottom of the desk should not have any cross beams or panels, as this will interfere with installation. We recommend carefully checking that your desk and monitors meets all above conditions before purchasing.

Built-in cable management guides wires along the arms, keeping cords out of sight and out of the way. Enjoy a tidy, modern workstation that looks as good as it feels to use.
The event information changed
Reopen the calendar near the event date and read the event entry again. Pokémon GO identifies upcoming events as subject to change. An older email, saved screenshot, or social post may describe an earlier version of the schedule.
How battle information fits into Pokémon GO
Official GO Battle League guidance describes battles as an in-game activity with seasonal and event formats. That explains why the event calendar is the useful starting point for finding battle-related dates: the activity itself takes place in Pokémon GO, while announcements can be distributed through several channels. The battle guide does not add a notification preference, so it should not be read as documentation for a battle-alert toggle.
In other words, discovery and participation are separate tasks. The calendar and announcement channels help you discover that something is scheduled; the game’s battle interface is where you take part. Keeping those functions separate prevents a general notification permission from being mistaken for a schedule subscription.
Best setup for different notification preferences
| If you want to… | Use this setup | Important limitation |
|---|---|---|
| See the current schedule | Open the calendar icon in the lower-right of the map screen and open the event | Check again because upcoming listings can change |
| Get app-level reminders | Opt in to Pokémon GO push notifications in the game and allow the device permission | No documented guarantee of battle-only alerts |
| Receive announcements outside the app | Subscribe to official Pokémon GO emails | Email coverage and timing are not established as identical to the calendar |
| Catch public updates | Follow Pokémon GO’s official social channels | Social posts are not documented as a complete event feed |
| Track one previously seen Pokémon | Enable Adventure Sync and Pokémon GO push notifications, then use the documented Pokédex alert | This is a Pokémon alert, not a battle-event notification |
Bottom line for Pokémon GO battle-event notifications
There is no documented dedicated battle-event notification toggle in the available official guidance. Open the in-game calendar from the lower-right of the map screen, tap an event for its details, and check it again near the date. Opt in to Pokémon GO push notifications, subscribe to official emails, and follow official social channels for additional announcements, while remembering that none of those sources is established as a guaranteed battle-only alert stream.
