How to Monitor a Larix Broadcaster YouTube Stream from Another Device

Use a second phone, tablet, or computer to check how your Larix Broadcaster stream looks and sounds on YouTube playback.

To monitor a Larix Broadcaster stream as viewers see it, play the YouTube Live watch page on a second phone, tablet, or computer while Larix streams from the first device. Check both the picture and audible sound; Larix showing a connection does not by itself confirm what reaches YouTube playback.

Monitor the YouTube playback on a second device

  1. Start the Larix broadcast. Send it to the intended YouTube Live destination using the current connection details for that stream. Larix Broadcaster’s Android listing names YouTube Live as a destination and RTMP/RTMPS among its supported protocols. For account-specific connection setup, follow the current instructions from YouTube Help and Larix Broadcaster.
  2. Open the live event’s watch page elsewhere. Use a second device and the public or unlisted watch page appropriate to the event’s visibility. Confirm that the video appears and that the sound is audible.
  3. Avoid audio feedback. Keep the monitoring device’s volume low enough that its speaker does not feed back into the streaming phone’s microphone. If you need to listen closely, use headphones on the monitoring device.
  4. Check the broadcaster and platform diagnostics too. Look at Larix’s status and any current YouTube stream-health indicators that are available. An Anglican Diocese of Jamaica and the Cayman Islands streaming guide, in a document context dating to 2021, advises watching “Stream Health” and the incoming video preview. Treat that as general diagnostic advice, not a current, exact interface walkthrough.

Playback on the second device is confidence monitoring: it lets you check the audience-facing picture and sound. The available guidance does not establish a guaranteed delay or a single current YouTube interface sequence, so allow playback to begin and assess what is actually shown rather than relying on an assumed timing.

What each monitoring option tells you

Option What it helps you observe What it does not establish
Second-device YouTube playback The picture and audio reaching YouTube playback from a viewer’s perspective. It does not, by itself, identify whether a problem originates in Larix, the network, YouTube ingest, event visibility, or playback.
Larix Broadcaster and Larix Tuner The broadcaster-side stream operation; Softvelum describes Larix Tuner as a service for remote Larix device control and management with streaming statistics. Remote management and statistics are not the same as checking the public YouTube playback as a viewer.
Restream dashboard Performance and viewer-count monitoring when the stream is routed through Restream. Restream is an optional intermediary, not a requirement for direct YouTube streaming, and its dashboard is not a guarantee of end-to-end viewing quality.

The Larix Broadcaster listing by Furtree Systems, Inc. says: “Manage licenses and control Larix devices remotely via Larix Tuner.” Use Tuner when you need that remote-management function; use the YouTube watch page when you need to check what playback looks and sounds like to an audience.

If the picture or sound is missing or wrong

A second-device check identifies a viewer-facing symptom, but does not isolate its cause. Use the available diagnostics on both the broadcaster and YouTube sides to narrow it down.

Elebase USB to USB C Adapter for iPhone 18 Pro Max,USBC Car Charger Adapter
  • Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
  • Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
  • No playback appears: Check Larix’s stream status and YouTube’s available ingest or stream-health information, then confirm that you opened the intended live event and that its visibility permits you to view it.
  • Video appears but sound is absent or wrong: Compare the sound on the second device with the audio expected from the source. Check the broadcaster-side audio setup and the platform’s incoming preview or health indicators where available.
  • The second device hears its own audio through the streaming phone: Lower its volume or use headphones to reduce the chance that its speaker is picked up by the streaming phone’s microphone.
  • You need to change or manage Larix remotely: Consider Larix Tuner for remote device control and streaming statistics. It does not replace watching the YouTube playback.
  • You are using Restream: Its dashboard is relevant to that routed setup. For a direct Larix-to-YouTube stream, it is not necessary.

Or let it run in the cloud

This guide’s second-device method is for monitoring a live broadcast sent from Larix. If your goal is instead to keep uploaded video playing continuously as a YouTube live stream, StreamNeo runs that playback from the cloud: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. Nothing has to stay on at home; it streams uploaded video at the quality you made it, up to 4K 60fps, at one price per slot, and automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly billing is $9.99 per month. Start your free day with StreamNeo.
