How to Move a 24/7 YouTube Loop from Gyre to LiveReacting

Move a continuous YouTube loop from Gyre by rebuilding it in LiveReacting and verifying the replacement before ending the old stream.

Rebuild the loop in LiveReacting, connect the same YouTube channel, start the replacement, and verify it is playing before you stop Gyre. This is a handover to a new live broadcast—not a demonstrated transfer of a Gyre project. Your channel and subscribers stay the same, but the new broadcast has a new live video and chat.

Before you switch: record what the current stream needs

Write down the source videos and their playback order, the live title and description, any schedule, and overlays or ad markers you need to recreate. LiveReacting’s migration guidance does not establish that Gyre project settings transfer directly, so plan to rebuild and check the setup rather than assuming it will be copied.

  • Confirm you can access the YouTube channel and its live-streaming setup.
  • Check that live streaming is enabled and the channel has no active live restrictions. LiveReacting says first-time YouTube live activation may take up to 24 hours; that is its estimate, not a guaranteed activation time. LiveReacting’s 24/7 streaming guide
  • Use videos you own or have permission to broadcast. Reusing content does not by itself establish that a channel meets YouTube monetization requirements; check YouTube’s current policy before relying on monetization.

Move the loop to LiveReacting

  1. Bring in your videos. Upload local files, or use LiveReacting’s paid-plan import from a YouTube channel, playlist, or video link. Its import guide says a batch can contain up to 100 videos and only public videos are imported; private or region-locked videos are skipped. Review the import for omissions and confirm you have broadcast rights. LiveReacting’s YouTube-channel import guide
  2. Build the playback. For one video, create a video project and turn on Loop. For multiple videos, create a playlist, arrange its order, and enable playlist looping or the playback behavior you want. LiveReacting’s guide says that if stream duration is left unset, you can stop the stream manually; check the duration choices currently shown in your account. LiveReacting’s looping tutorial
  3. Connect the YouTube channel. Use LiveReacting’s YouTube connection or its stream-key method, following the current interface. Set the replacement broadcast’s title and description, and schedule it if your plan and workflow support the timing you need. The destination is the same channel, but this is a new live video and chat. LiveReacting’s migration instructions
  4. Start the new broadcast while Gyre is still running. Check the channel to confirm the LiveReacting broadcast is live and that the video is looping or the playlist is advancing as intended.
  5. Stop Gyre only after verification. LiveReacting advises starting and checking the replacement before stopping the previous stream. Monitor the new broadcast through the handover so you can catch playback or connection issues.

What carries over—and what you must recreate

Item What to expect
YouTube channel and subscribers LiveReacting says the same channel and subscriber base remain.
Live event and chat The replacement is a new live video with a new chat. Treat the old live URL, chat history, viewer state, and session as not transferred.
Videos and playback setup Import or upload the media, check which videos were skipped, and rebuild the loop or playlist. A direct Gyre-project transfer is not established.
Computer running the stream LiveReacting says the broadcast runs from its cloud infrastructure after setup, so the local computer need not remain on.

Plan and content cautions

LiveReacting says a free account can test a short stream, but continuous 24/7 operation requires its 24/7 Streaming plan. It also says channel or playlist URL import is available on paid plans. Check the current plan details and limits in LiveReacting before migrating; its pricing and plan information can change.

LiveReacting warns that repetitive or mass-produced material may be a concern for YouTube monetization and recommends variety, playlists, and viewer-facing value. This is practical vendor guidance, not a substitute for YouTube’s current policy wording. Separately, LiveReacting’s guide says YouTube may fail to save streams longer than 12 hours; do not make a long live event your only copy of source files. Verify current YouTube guidance before relying on either claim. LiveReacting’s guide

Common migration problems and fixes

  • A video is missing from an imported playlist: check whether it is private or region-locked; LiveReacting says these videos are skipped. Upload a suitable local copy or change access only if you have the rights and it is appropriate.
  • The playlist plays in the wrong order or stops: review the playlist order and looping/playback controls, then verify playback during the overlap before stopping Gyre.
  • The new broadcast does not appear on the intended channel: confirm which YouTube account or channel was connected, or verify the stream key if using that route. Do not stop Gyre until the replacement is visible on the correct channel.
  • You cannot start a live stream: check that YouTube live streaming is enabled and that the channel has no active live restrictions. If it is the channel’s first live activation, LiveReacting’s estimate is up to 24 hours.
  • The new chat or live URL differs: that is expected for a new live video; this migration does not preserve the prior live session.

Or let it run in the cloud

If your goal is simply to keep uploaded videos looping on YouTube, StreamNeo is another option: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It runs from the cloud, so nothing has to stay on at home; it plays your upload as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot, and automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card, one free day per account. Monthly billing is $9.99 per month. StreamNeo is for YouTube and uploaded videos, not a live camera feed.
