How to Open Tipping Point Bunker in Borderlands 4: Location and Walkthrough

Find Tipping Point Bunker in the southeast of Idolator’s Noose in the Fadefields. Complete the main story mission One Fell Swoop to unlock Locust Canisters, then reach the dispenser through the vent to the left of the bunker’s main door and throw a canister at the entrance barrier.

Where to find Tipping Point Bunker

The bunker is in the southeastern part of Idolator’s Noose, in the Fadefields. Wyclef’s Reprieve is the nearest safehouse identified by Game8; Insider Gaming also places it in the southeast corner of the Fadefields.

What you need to open the bunker

First complete the main story mission One Fell Swoop. That mission unlocks Locust Canisters, which are needed to dissolve the barrier at the bunker entrance. If you reach the door and cannot find the canister dispenser, check that you have completed the mission.

How to open the entrance

1. Stand facing the main bunker door and look to its left for a large ventilation opening.
2. Go through the vent passage and climb to the upper room.
3. Take a Locust Canister from the dispenser.
4. Return to the main door and throw the canister at its barrier. The corrosive container dissolves the barrier, allowing you to enter.

How to complete Tipping Point Bunker

Inside, fight through the Order enemies and use Locust Canisters on consoles to open the route forward. The room-by-room path below follows Gamepressure’s walkthrough.

1. Clear the first area and use a canister at the console to open the next door.
2. Proceed into the next area and use another canister on its console to continue.
3. Cross the newly opened area, then use the elevator and climb the walls to reach the upper room.
4. Restock at the vending machines before sliding into the boss encounter.
5. Defeat Mimicron to finish the bunker.

What to know about the Mimicron fight

Borderlands Support’s November 20, 2025 patch notes say: “Updated Mimicron’s combat behavior so it can no longer be stun-locked by singularity effects in the Tipping Point Bunker.” This confirms an adjustment to that interaction; it does not establish that the bunker is currently bugged or that later updates left every aspect of the encounter unchanged.
