For BAKUNAWA, Six Flags says, “BAKUNAWA is coming to Six Flags Great Adventure in 2027.” Treat 2027 as the announced target year, not a specific day you can book around. Recheck the BAKUNAWA announcement and park information before committing to travel.
Choose a date using the park calendar
Park hours vary by date, and the official calendar may show dates whose hours are not yet confirmed. Check the Great Adventure park calendar for your intended day before finalizing travel. A listed park opening does not by itself confirm that a particular new attraction will operate that day.

- Pick the attraction and target year. For Shoreline Pier, check its current status for your 2026 date. For BAKUNAWA, plan around the announced 2027 target and wait for a confirmed date and operating information.
- Check hours for the exact date. If the calendar has not confirmed hours, revisit it before making firm plans.

A pass may be worth considering for repeat visitors, but confirm current price, access, restrictions and benefits directly before buying. Six Flags has described a 2026 Gold Pass as including access to Great Adventure and other named destinations; those details should not be assumed to apply unchanged to a later season.

Six Flags’ 2026 season update says: “The Safari Off-Road Adventure is once again part of your in-park experience and included with park admission.” The update also cites more than 1,200 animals from six continents at Wild Safari; that figure describes the safari, not ride queues or Shoreline Pier. It reports more than 600 Wi-Fi access points at Great Adventure, but neither figure predicts wait times or operating status.
For Shoreline Pier, the useful plan is to confirm the park date, verify the attraction’s current operation, and keep the day adaptable. For BAKUNAWA, do not assume a particular 2027 opening day or that the coaster will run on a chosen date until Six Flags confirms both.
