Beat Performer’s Dissonance specialization heals by dealing damage. Its core loop is to use Fierce Strike and Harmonic Anthem to trigger lucky-hit resets of Rhapsody of Flame, then cast that hybrid damage-and-healing skill again. You will need close-range positioning and steady attack uptime: when you cannot keep hitting enemies, your healing and reset opportunities fall off.
This guide follows Chishiya’s Season 3 Dissonance guide, last updated August 1, 2026. Treat its rotation and build targets as recommendations for that setup, not universal breakpoints; balance, gear, and regional patch parity may differ.

What Dissonance does—and what it asks of you
Beat Performer is a support class that uses a guitar in-game. Dissonance is its aggressive, damage-driven support specialization: it deals damage and converts that activity into healing rather than relying on a conventional direct-healer loop. Chishiya’s Season 3 Dissonance guide describes it as support first, despite its relatively high damage among support specs. The Prydwen class overview likewise characterizes Beat Performer as hybrid sustain and damage, with several effective abilities requiring melee-range hits.
The trade-off: healing depends on attack uptime
Dissonance works best when you can remain close enough to land attacks and keep its loop moving. Strong enemy movement, forced downtime, or unsafe melee positioning can reduce both your damage and the healing that comes from it. The class overview from Star Resonance community guides contrasts this with Concerto, which emphasizes healing and party buffs more directly.

Understand the Dissonance resource and reset loop
In the Season 3 guide’s description, Performance Energy supports abilities such as Heroic Melody, while Performance Passion is spent on Amplified Beat and Rhapsody of Flame. Damage builds Soundwave Energy stacks, up to 50; abilities that spend Passion consume those stacks to trigger Scorching Impact. These are guide-reported mechanics, so check the skill descriptions in your current game version if a patch changes them.
Rhapsody of Flame is the center of the loop. The guide says lucky hits from Fierce Strike or Harmonic Anthem can instantly reset Rhapsody’s cooldown and remove its cost. Rhapsody also provides listed Fire Bonus, damage reduction, and increased Luck while you stand within it. Harmonic Anthem contributes damage, helps seek those resets, and can reposition you.
Use this rotation as a flexible priority loop
This is a sequence of priorities, not a fixed timer rotation. Adapt to movement and party danger; the next action changes when Rhapsody resets.
- Open with Heroic Melody to establish its support effect.
- Cast Rhapsody of Flame and stand within its area when positioning and encounter mechanics allow.
- Activate available Imagines while benefiting from Rhapsody’s area.
- Use Encore for its team effect.
- Cast Amplified Beat to enhance Harmonic Anthem.
- Use Harmonic Anthem and Fierce Strike to deal damage and seek a lucky-hit reset of Rhapsody.
- Spend a reset promptly. If Rhapsody resets, cast it. Chishiya’s guide describes a possible immediate second cast when an Amplified Beat-enhanced Harmonic Anthem causes a reset; using the first reset promptly is needed to enable that follow-up.
- Refresh Heroic Melody and Encore when available, then continue attacking and watching for Rhapsody resets.
- Use your ultimate for emergency party healing or to restore Performance Passion, depending on the situation.
Keep damage uptime and positioning high enough to create reset chances, but do not chase a hit when an ally needs urgent survival support or the position is unsafe.

Build stats for the Season 3 setup
Chishiya’s Season 3 guide lists this priority: Intellect, Luck, Haste, then Versatility and Crit. It recommends Luck for healing effectiveness and Rhapsody reset chances, and Haste to speed up the rotation. These are recommendations for that guide’s setup, not guaranteed thresholds for every weapon, gear set, or patch.
| Stat | Season 3 guide recommendation | How to read it |
|---|---|---|
| Intellect | First priority | The guide’s opening stat priority. |
| Luck | Second priority; example goal 53% | A guide-specific target tied to healing effectiveness and Rhapsody resets. |
| Haste | Third priority; example goal 30% | The guide says it speeds the rotation. |
| Versatility | Example goal 20% | A target shown in the Season 3 setup, not a universal breakpoint. |
| Crit | Example goal 23% | If set gear is unavailable, the guide recommends favoring Haste over Crit. |
The guide notes that weapon choice can shift stat distribution. Use those percentages as reference points while accounting for your weapon and available gear, rather than forcing a target that weakens the rest of the build.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Choose gear, modules, and team options around your progression
The Season 3 guide recommends Luck-focused sigils and lists gear-specific options. Its module priorities include Life Wave, DMG Stack, Luck Focus, Intellect Boost, Attack Speed, Elite Strike, and a team Luck/Crit option. The best combination depends on what you have and which parts of the setup need support.
Emblem routes are conditional too: the guide’s choice depends on whether you still need Luck to reach its recommended target and whether the tank is already using Oblivion Dream. Coordinate the team option rather than treating one emblem route as mandatory.
For Season 3 set bonuses, the guide lists bonuses to Harmonic Anthem and Amplified Beat damage, plus a faster Fierce Strike trigger during Heroic Melody. It also lists a different set effect that adds an Amplified Beat hit. Which pieces make sense depends on your available gear and set progression.
The guide lists Pepper Rib Strips Lv. 2 food and Blazing Lizard Spine Reagent Lv. 3 serum as consumables for this spec. These recommendations belong to its Season 3 setup and may not remain optimal after balance changes.
Decide whether Dissonance or Concerto suits your playstyle
Both specializations serve the party, but they ask for different positioning and rhythms. The class comparison in Star Resonance community guides and the role overview from Prydwen support this distinction.
| Consideration | Dissonance | Concerto |
|---|---|---|
| Healing approach | Damage-linked healing and sustain | More dedicated healing and party buffs |
| Positioning | More aggressive, with important melee-range hits | Healing speaker placement and timing matter |
| What keeps the support loop effective | Steady attack uptime and lucky-hit reset opportunities | Healing and buff use, rather than the Dissonance damage-reset loop |
| Good fit if you prefer | An active close-range support style | A stronger emphasis on direct healing and party buffs |
How to use these recommendations across patches
The most specific specialization guidance here is Chishiya’s Season 3 guide, updated August 1, 2026. It is a specialist guide, not official developer direction, and the available class overviews are also community resources. No region-specific patch parity is established here, so check current in-game skill text and the live guide for your server before relying on exact mechanics or targets after a balance update.
