You can play Blooket without a student account by joining a teacher-hosted live game or completing teacher-assigned homework. For a live game, use the teacher’s Game ID, QR code, or join link; for homework, use the assigned link or QR code. Blooket’s instructions do not confirm that independent solo games from public question sets work while signed out.
Join a teacher-hosted live game as a guest
Students do not need an account to join a hosted game. Blooket’s Help Center says, “Student accounts are not required to join games,” while noting that students who want to earn points and use their own Blook must log in before joining. Blooket’s guide to joining a game explains the guest flow.

- Get the Game ID, QR code, or join link from the teacher hosting the game.
- Open play.blooket.com. Enter the seven-digit Game ID, scan the QR code, or open the shared join link.

- Choose a Blook while you wait, then stay on the page until the teacher starts the game.
Complete assigned Blooket homework without an account
Teacher-assigned homework is another documented account-free option. Open the teacher’s homework link or scan its QR code, then follow the prompts in Blooket’s homework instructions.
- Open the assignment link or scan its QR code.
- Select Get Started, choose one of the available solo modes, and click Play.
- Enter a nickname and play until you meet the assignment’s correct-answer goal.
- Try to finish in one session. Blooket advises that leaving the tab inactive too long or closing it may mean you have to restart from the original link or QR code.
Homework can be completed as a guest, but account-specific rewards and tracking depend on being logged in.

Does independent solo play work while signed out?
That is not established by Blooket’s solo-game guide. The guide describes how to start a solo game, but does not say whether a student can do so without an account. Blooket’s solo-game instructions therefore do not confirm guest access for independent play from a public question set. The documented solo guest route is teacher-assigned homework.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What changes when you play as a guest?
Blooket says an account can provide features such as unlocking Blooks, tracking stats, and playing solo games. Its guest instructions cover joining and choosing a nickname, but do not promise account-based progress for guests. The account FAQ puts it simply: “Nope! Only the teacher needs an account.” See Blooket’s student-account FAQ.
Which guest route should you use?
| Play route | Guest access | What you need | Qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
| Teacher-hosted live game | Yes, documented | Game ID, QR code, or join link | Logging in is needed for account features such as earning points and using your own Blook. |
| Teacher-assigned homework | Yes, documented | Homework link or QR code | Account-based rewards and tracking depend on logging in. |
| Independent solo game | Not established by the solo guide | A question set and the Solo game flow | The instructions do not state whether this works while signed out. |
