How to use an Xbox 360 copy on Xbox One
For a physical copy, insert the Xbox 360 game disc into the Xbox One. The console downloads the compatible game; Xbox’s instructions describe the disc as the way to initiate that download, not as proof that the game runs directly from the disc. Keep the disc available for play. If you own the game digitally, Xbox said to find it in Ready to Install and download it from there.
Will your Xbox 360 save transfer?
Xbox said original game saves transfer if they were saved using the Xbox 360 Cloud Saved Games feature. The announcement does not promise transfer for saves that were stored only locally, so check that your save was in the cloud before relying on continuity.
