Marksman’s Falconry is a ranged bow-DPS specialization built around frequent critical hits, falcon strikes, and spending Photon Energy on Quadraflare. Build toward Agility and Crit, use multi-hit skills to create falcon proc opportunities, and keep moving to protect the class’s low-defense character. The priorities below are a practical framework rather than a fixed rotation: talent choices and balance updates can change energy thresholds and skill behavior.

How Falconry works

Marksman is the bow-wielding ranged DPS class, and Falconry is one of its two specializations. It replaces the wolf-oriented Wildpack identity with a falcon companion. Falcon strikes have a chance to trigger on class-skill hits and are guaranteed when a hit is critical; ordinary hits do not guarantee a falcon attack. That makes Crit important, while skills with many hits create more chances for the falcon to strike. Prydwen highlights Radiance Barrage and Arrow Rain for their multi-hit behavior. Its Marksman overview says Arrow Rain hits ten times and Radiance Barrage hits ten times at baseline, with additional hits possible under relevant conditions. Prydwen’s Falconry guide explains the specialization mechanics.

Falconry also changes the full-energy special attack: its first talent unlocks the falcon and replaces the usual Photon Reforge state with Quadraflare. Photon Energy fuels this enhanced attack, but the cap and thresholds are talent-dependent. For example, Prydwen says Photon Limit and Meditation increase base energy generation and reduce the cap from 100 to 80; a Season 3 build guide describes Radiant Sharpshooter as lowering the Quadraflare threshold from 80 to 60. Check your own talent descriptions rather than treating either number as universal.

Use a priority system, not a fixed rotation

Energy level determines which attacks are useful next, so treat this as a priority list rather than a cast-by-cast script. Prydwen’s guide recommends the following general order:

  1. Use Luminary Bolt when available.
  2. Use Imagines when available; when practical, line them up with Focus.
  3. Use Focus when available.
  4. At 30 or more Photon Energy, prioritize Radiance Barrage and Powerdraw.
  5. At 60 Photon Energy, use Quadraflare if it is ready under your talent setup.
  6. Use Double Arrow when fully charged.
  7. Use Arrow Rain preferably while energy is low.
  8. Spend remaining Double Arrow charges, then use basic attacks while waiting for higher-priority skills.

These thresholds are the guide’s recommendation, not a universal rule for every talent configuration. A June 8, 2026 Games.gg Season 3 guide likewise prioritizes Quadraflare when ready, Arrow Rain below 30 energy, and Radiance Barrage and Powerdraw above 30. It also recommends Powerdraw after Radiance Barrage when the selected talent makes that follow-up a guaranteed critical hit. Follow the talent effect shown in your build when deciding whether that sequence applies.

One Season 3 opener

Games.gg’s June 2026 guide gives a more structured opener for its particular build: turn Auto Combo off, use the Ultimate, activate two Imagines, use Focus, then Radiance Barrage and Powerdraw. Turn Auto Combo back on for Double Arrow and Quadraflare, use Arrow Rain, then use Powerdraw again. Talent selection and later game updates can change the sequence, so use it as a build-specific example rather than a universal script.

Choose how much to automate

Prydwen describes Falconry as playable on auto and suggests a semi-auto setup: assign basic attack, Double Arrow, and Focus to Auto Combo, while manually using Arrow Rain, Radiance Barrage, and Powerdraw when your Photon Energy makes them worthwhile. Full automation is an option, but manual control of those energy-sensitive skills gives you more control over the priority system.

Prioritize stats and talents around your build

Start with Agility and Crit. After those, use Versatility, Mastery, and Haste to balance the secondary stats on your actual gear rather than following a single rigid order. Games.gg’s Season 3 guide identifies Agility as the primary stat, recommends high Crit rolls, and suggests balancing those three secondary stats on non-set pieces.

Talents can change both energy management and attack timing. Prydwen describes Photon Limit and Meditation as increasing base energy generation while reducing the cap from 100 to 80. The first Falconry talent changes the full-energy special attack to Quadraflare. Games.gg’s advice to use Quadraflare at 60 reflects its described Radiant Sharpshooter setup; its above-30 recommendations and Powerdraw follow-up also depend on the specified talent effects. Read the descriptions in your current build before copying a threshold or sequence.

For endgame gear, keep the guide’s assumptions in view. Prydwen’s detailed min-max gear table assumes level 140/150 set gear and a level 150 relic weapon, so it is an endgame reference, not a new-player checklist. Its page shows a last update of January 24, 2026; Games.gg’s Season 3 guide was updated June 8, 2026. Exact skills, talents, and itemization are patch-sensitive, so verify them against the current in-game descriptions.

Stay mobile and manage your position

Falconry can attack at range and move while attacking, including during its special attack. That mobility helps you keep dealing damage while repositioning, but it does not remove the need to avoid danger: Games.gg warns that Marksman has low base defense and emphasizes positioning. Prydwen assesses Falconry as easy to play, flexible with skill slots, and compatible with semi- or full-auto. Those are guide assessments, not universal performance measurements.

Falconry or Wildpack?

Wildpack is Marksman’s other specialization. The guides distinguish it by its wolf companions and a more stationary burst window, compared with Falconry’s Crit-driven falcon attacks and ability to move while attacking. Prydwen characterizes Falconry as weak early because it depends on Crit and its pet; that is an evaluative guide opinion, not a controlled DPS comparison or a statistic about player results. Choose Falconry if its falcon-and-Crit loop and mobile ranged play suit you, and check current guides and in-game tooltips before making a progression-sensitive build decision.
