Wildpack is the wolf-focused Marksman specialization in Blue Protocol: Star Resonance. Build Photon Energy to its cap, cast Storm Arrow at full Energy to trigger Photon Reforge, then use the burst window for repeated Storm Arrows and useful available abilities while your wolves attack. The mechanics and build guidance below follow Prydwen’s guide, last updated January 24, 2026; check your in-game resource cap and current patch before relying on exact values.

How Wildpack’s rotation works

Marksman is a ranged bow DPS class with two specializations: Wildpack, which centers on wolves, and Falconry, which focuses on birds and critical hits. Wildpack’s core loop is to generate Photon Energy, enter Photon Reforge with Storm Arrow, and capitalize on the state by repeatedly firing Storm Arrow.

1. Build Photon Energy

Use Photon-generating abilities to fill the resource. Prydwen names Bullseye, Storm Arrow, and Arrow Rain as generators; talent effects can also contribute. Its guide gives 120 as the usual cap and notes that a particular talent can raise it to 140. The correct cap depends on your talent setup, so use the number displayed in your current game.

2. Trigger Photon Reforge

When Photon Energy is full, cast Storm Arrow again to start Photon Reforge, according to Prydwen’s guide. The guide says Reforge consumes 20 Energy per second and ends when Energy reaches zero. Treat those values as guide-version mechanics rather than independently verified current patch data.

3. Spend the Reforge window

Prioritize repeated Storm Arrow casts to prompt coordinated wolf attacks. Weave in valuable abilities when they are available, but the guide excerpt does not establish a complete skill-by-skill order, so there is no supported fixed sequence to reproduce here. Avoid spending the window waiting on low-value actions.

Positioning and movement

Prydwen describes Wildpack’s burst as most effective while stationary. If an encounter requires movement, handle the mechanic first and resume the rotation when it is safe; preserving uptime is not worth taking avoidable damage. The stationary-burst assessment is guide advice, not a measured comparison across encounters.

Is Wildpack the right Marksman spec?

Choose based on the play pattern and content you prefer, rather than assuming one specialization is universally stronger. Prydwen characterizes Wildpack as simple and suitable for semi-auto or full-auto play, with strong damage at low gear levels. It also lists managing Energy between encounters, reduced freedom to move during burst, and a falloff in ultra-endgame content as drawbacks. These are the guide’s assessments, not independently tested performance findings.

  • Wildpack: A wolf-pet and Photon Reforge loop built around filling Energy and repeatedly using Storm Arrow.
  • Falconry: A bird- and critical-hit-focused alternative with a different burst mechanic at maximum Energy. The available guide material does not establish a current performance comparison between the two.
  • Encounter fit: Consider how often a fight forces movement during your burst window.
  • Progression: Wildpack’s recommended endgame setup is not a requirement for leveling or every activity.

Gear and progression context

Prydwen’s recommended build assumes level 140/150 set gear and a level 150 relic weapon. Those assumptions describe the guide’s build context; they are not prerequisites for trying Wildpack on a new character or playing other content. Because the guide was updated January 24, 2026, verify talents, gear recommendations, and resource behavior against your current version.

Leveling advice versus Wildpack specialization

StarResonance.org’s broader Marksman guide gives pre-specialization advice: use Wildcall when available, use Luminary Bolt to gather enemies or before Photon Reforge, and outside Reforge use Arrow Rain when available, then Storm Arrow, then Bullseye while waiting. This is general leveling guidance, not a replacement for a current Wildpack-specific build.

Where to check current game updates

The exact numbers and rotation described here come from third-party guides; the available official-site result does not validate those specific mechanics. Check the official Blue Protocol: Star Resonance site for game news and updates, and confirm resource behavior in your current build. The detailed Wildpack guide is at Prydwen Institute; broader Marksman leveling guidance is at StarResonance.org.
