To play Once Human on the same server as a friend, choose the same region, clear the beginner stages, then open More Servers in scenario selection and join your friend’s exact scenario and server. If it is full, ask whether they can provide a Special Invitation Code. Cross-play works across supported platforms, but region and console-exclusive server restrictions still apply.
How to join your friend’s Once Human server
- Match regions first. Check the region shown in the upper-right corner of the sign-in screen. Everyone must use the same region; separate regions use separate data centers and cannot play together.
- Get the exact scenario and server name. Ask your friend for the server name associated with their signed-in character, and confirm which scenario they are playing.
- Finish the beginner stages. Once you reach scenario selection, choose More Servers.
- Select the matching scenario and server. Choose the exact scenario and server your friend gave you. Selecting a different server does not put your character on your friend’s server.
- If the server is full, check invitation access. Your friend can look for Special Invitation Code under the character namecard after signing in. If no code is available, choose another recommended server together.
These steps follow the current official Once Human Console Launch FAQ and the Server Selection Guide. A code is not guaranteed to be available; capacity and invitation access depend on the server.
Can friends play across PC, mobile, PlayStation and Xbox?
Yes, cross-play is supported across the platforms described in the official FAQ, including PS and Xbox players playing together. The FAQ also describes cross-play with PC and mobile. The important exception is servers labeled with the Console prefix: these are console-exclusive. PC and mobile players may see characters on those servers but cannot enter and play there. Platform features or events can differ, so check in-game notices for current details.
Players in different regions cannot play together, regardless of platform. The official FAQ, published August 20, 2026, attributes this to separate physical data centers and data not being shared between regions.

Cross-server teams are not the same as sharing a server
Once Human supports forming cross-server teams, as the development team noted in an August 10, 2024 Dev Talk. That lets players team up across servers; it does not move their characters onto one shared server. If you want to begin or reside on the same server, use the exact-server selection steps above.
Already have a character on another server?
Do not assume that ordinary server switching transfers character progress. What you can do depends on the scenario’s current state and available signup options. Before taking action, read the scenario description in-game.

Before the scenario’s rest period
The August 2026 FAQ says a player can use Scenario → Scenario Description → Scenario Exit to exit for free the first time before the rest period, then sign up for the friend’s server. Whether signup is available depends on the scenario; check the current in-game description before confirming an exit.
During the rest period
The FAQ says that if the scenario is already in its rest period, a player can sign up and go to the friend’s server. Check the live scenario information and available options rather than relying on a general switching rule.

Permanent-server signups can reset progress
A July 17, 2025 notice says that signing up for a permanent server before the current scenario ends resets the player’s level and scenario resources, including gear and consumables. Under that notice’s rules, waiting for the scenario to end and merge preserves progress. Permanent servers support invitation codes. Because this is a dated announcement and signup rules can depend on the current game state, verify the live in-game text before acting. See the official Feature Launch Notice: Access to Permanent Server.
