Mountain Zu was originally earned through FINAL FANTASY XIV’s MTN DEW promotion: buy a specially marked 20 oz. bottle, enter the code under its cap at MTN DEW Gaming for points, and exchange those points for the Mountain Zu reward. The resulting item code could be entered on Mog Station only after Dawntrail early access began on June 28, 2024, at 2:00 a.m. PDT.
That process comes from Square Enix’s North American Lodestone announcement for the collaboration. The announcement does not confirm that the campaign, point store, or any particular code still works, so present-day availability is unverified.

How the original Mountain Zu promotion worked
- Buy a specially marked 20 oz. MTN DEW bottle. The qualifying packaging was part of the collaboration; an ordinary bottle was not established as eligible.
- Find the code under the cap.
- Enter the code at MTN DEW Gaming. Each accepted code awarded promotion points.
- Spend points on collaboration rewards. Mountain Zu was one of the listed FINAL FANTASY XIV rewards.
- Redeem the resulting item code on Mog Station. Square Enix stated that the Mountain Zu code could not be redeemed before Dawntrail early access began on June 28, 2024, at 2:00 a.m. PDT.
Square Enix described the reward as a way to “Soar through the skies of Tural in style on the back of the mighty Mountain Zu!”
Can you still get Mountain Zu?
There is no confirmed answer from the official announcement. It is a historical promotion notice and does not state an end date, current MTN DEW Gaming status, remaining code inventory, or whether previously issued codes retain validity. It also does not establish the promotion’s geographic coverage, account restrictions, or a current point price for the mount.

- Code validity: A seller’s claim that a code is unused is not proof that it has not expired or already been redeemed.
- Region and account eligibility: The announcement captured for this promotion does not specify eligible countries, account requirements, or platform restrictions.
- Mog Station acceptance: The item code must be accepted by the FINAL FANTASY XIV service for the account and region you use.
- Seller reliability: Marketplace listings and ordinary MTN DEW bottles are not established official acquisition routes.

Do regular MTN DEW listings or third-party codes work?
They are not a dependable, documented route. The promotion required specially marked bottles, and the official notice does not say that current retail listings carry qualifying caps or that the campaign remains open. Avoid paying for an ordinary soda listing or an unverified code unless you can independently confirm official redemption and the seller’s refund protections.

Related collaboration items
The announcement also mentioned co-branded campaign merchandise, but it did not identify a current product inventory. Any merchandise availability should therefore be checked separately rather than treated as evidence that Mountain Zu codes are still obtainable.
