Can you play Petit Planet now?
There are two different answers depending on whether you mean the public game or the test build. The public version is scheduled for Winter 2026 on Windows PC, iOS, and Android. The launch date remains unannounced, so a store page or pre-registration button should not be read as proof that the full game is playable today.

The currently available Final Beta is invitation-only. Access is issued to selected HoYoverse accounts, and each account can receive test access for only one platform. Beta access is also bound to the first device used. If an invited account starts on a particular phone or computer, moving that account to another device can create an access problem. Follow the platform and device route specified in the invitation rather than trying to test the same account everywhere.

Petit Planet is described as a free download with in-app purchases. Its advertised loop combines planet building with social and collection activities: you shape a personal planet, meet fuzzy Neighbors, farm, fish, beachcomb, cook, explore the Starsea, and visit the Galactic Bazaar.
Supported platforms and the correct store route
For the public release, begin at an official HoYoverse or Petit Planet announcement and use the store page it identifies. The current platform information is:

PC: Epic Games Store versus HoYoPlay
Both the Epic Games Store listing and HoYoPlay are named as PC pre-registration routes. Use the route shown by the official announcement and sign in with the HoYoverse account you intend to use in the game client. Installing an unofficial repack, a mirror, or a file advertised as an open beta bypasses the invitation system and is not an established way to gain access.

The App Store is the listed iOS route. Pre-registering records your interest; it does not unlock the invitation-only Final Beta. When the public build is released, install it from the official listing and use the same HoYoverse account you plan to keep for play.
Android phones and tablets
Google Play is the listed Android route. The listing identifies Petit Planet as a free download with in-app purchases. As with iOS, a visible listing is not evidence that the Final Beta is open to everyone.
How account setup works
A HoYoverse account is part of the current access flow. For a public launch, install the client from the official store or launcher page, then sign in with the HoYoverse account you want associated with Petit Planet. Keep your login details available before starting so that you do not accidentally create or use a different account.

Public-launch setup
- Open the official Petit Planet or HoYoverse announcement and select its Windows, iOS, or Android store route.
- Install the client from the Epic Games Store, HoYoPlay, App Store, or Google Play as applicable.
- Start the client and choose the HoYoverse sign-in option.
- Use the HoYoverse account that should hold your progress. If you already have an account, do not switch to a second login simply because another account is saved on the device.
- Complete any in-client prompts that HoYoverse presents. The currently published material does not provide a reliable, launch-current list of exact button names or account fields, so the labels may change before release.
Final Beta setup
- Confirm that the invitation was sent to the HoYoverse account you are about to use.
- Check the invitation for its assigned platform and follow that route only.
- Install the test client on the first permitted device you intend to use. The first device used binds the beta access to that account.
- Sign in with the invited account, not a different HoYoverse login on the same device.
- Do not treat the beta as a way to reserve a second-platform slot. Each account can receive test access for one platform.
Because the beta is invitation-only, registering at a store, finding a listing in search, or downloading a client file does not by itself grant entry. If the client rejects an account, first verify the invitation, platform assignment, account identity, and original device before reinstalling anything.

Storage planning before installation
The following figures are reported for the Final Beta by PetitPlanet.dev in 2026. They describe free space needed by the test builds, not a guaranteed launch requirement. Leave additional headroom for the operating system, downloaded patches, temporary files, and future updates because the launch build may be larger.

When the installer says there is not enough space
- Check free space on the drive or device that actually stores the game, not only the location of the launcher.
- Remove or move large recordings, downloads, and unused apps before retrying.
- Keep a buffer above the reported figure; installers often need temporary room while expanding files.
- On PC, confirm that the selected library drive has the space even if the launcher itself is installed elsewhere.
- On a phone, check both device storage and any operating-system update requirement shown by the store.
What to do first in Petit Planet
The most efficient opening is story first, then Luca Arbor growth and basic gathering. The sequence below follows the systems that the beginner guide identifies as early priorities.
1. Follow the main story
Begin with the main-story objectives instead of wandering indefinitely. The opening introduces your first Neighbors, teaches the farming loop, and unlocks Starsea Voyage. Early named characters include Yunguo, Elsasani, Glenn, and Mobai. Story tasks function as the clearest way to learn which tools and activities are available, so complete the current objective before spending all of your time collecting optional materials.
2. Water the Luca Arbor
The Luca Arbor is the central progression tree. Watering or feeding it with Luca advances its level and opens major systems. At level 1, the guide reports access to the Beach Area, Mysterious Archiboos, and farming. Treat Luca as a progression resource rather than something to hoard indefinitely: when the game points you toward the Arbor, making the upgrade moves the rest of the early tutorial forward.
3. Gather with the right activity tool
Once the initial objectives are clear, gather materials from the activities the game presents. Farming, fishing, bug catching, beachcombing, digging, and mining each use their activity-specific tools. Collecting a little from several activities is more useful than exhausting one source while ignoring the others, because story and Arbor objectives can ask you to use different parts of the resource loop.

- Farm: tend the plots unlocked through the Arbor and story progression.
- Fish: use the fishing activity when a water location and objective call for it.
- Catch bugs: carry out the bug-catching activity where insects appear.
- Beachcomb: search the Beach Area for items placed along the shore.
- Dig: use the digging tool at appropriate spots.
- Mine: use the mining tool on mineable sources.
The available material does not establish exact tool durability, spawn timers, drop rates, or inventory limits, so do not plan around numbers that have not been published.
4. Manage Strength and cook food
Chopping, mining, and digging consume Strength. Raw ingredients can be eaten, but cooked dishes restore more Strength than raw food according to the beginner guide. When a resource run starts leaving you short on Strength, return to cooking rather than abandoning the activity or consuming every ingredient uncooked. Cooking therefore serves a practical purpose in the opening: it lets you continue gathering for longer.
Prepare enough food before a long sequence of chopping, mining, or digging. The available information does not specify a universal restoration value for each dish, so compare the result shown by the in-game recipe rather than assuming every meal has the same effect.

5. Sail the Starsea
After the relevant story unlock, talk to Elsasani at the dock to begin Starsea Voyage. You can take up to two Neighbors with you. The Islets contain resources, puzzles, and encounters, making a voyage an exploration outing rather than a simple transport screen.
- Speak with Elsasani at the dock when the story has opened Starsea Voyage.
- Select up to two available Neighbors for the trip.
- Choose an Islet and explore its visible paths and activity sites.
- Collect resources and investigate puzzles without spending all of your Strength before checking what the area contains.
- Return to the main planet when you have completed the objective or need to cook and recover.
The sources do not state whether every Islet is available immediately, how often destinations rotate, or whether specific Neighbors change voyage results. Use the in-game destination and party information as the authority for those details.
6. Keep levelling the Arbor

Platform choice is mainly an access and convenience decision because the confirmed public platforms share the same broad game concept. Use the following checks before pre-registering or accepting a beta invitation:
- Choose PC if you have a Windows machine with at least the reported 18 GB of Final Beta free space and prefer a launcher-based installation. The available information does not establish keyboard, mouse, or controller mappings.
- Choose iOS if an Apple device is your intended first device and you can reserve at least the reported 10 GB for the test build. The supported iPhone and iPad model list is not stated.
- Choose Android if an Android phone or tablet is your intended first device and you can reserve at least the reported 12 GB for the test build. The supported Android model and chipset list is not stated.
- For the Final Beta, choose only one platform and one first device. The account’s invitation and first-device binding matter more than having the game installed on several devices.
There is no confirmed console or macOS route in the available announcements. If you see a third-party page claiming support for another platform, wait for an official HoYoverse announcement rather than treating that claim as a release promise.

Final Beta progress is subject to a data wipe and should not be presented as carrying into the public launch. Anything you build, collect, or unlock during testing is useful for learning the systems, not a guaranteed permanent account state. Keep screenshots or notes only if you want a personal record; do not spend money in the test with the assumption that beta progress will remain.
The beta snapshot identifies 16 known Neighbors, but that number describes the Final Beta guide at the time it was recorded, not a promise that the launch roster will contain exactly 16 characters. The same qualification applies to test-build storage figures and any feature visible during testing.

The store page is visible but the game will not start
Check whether you are looking at a pre-registration listing rather than a released build. A listing can exist before the public launch, and the Final Beta still requires an invitation. Confirm the platform date and the account status before repeatedly reinstalling.

An invited player cannot enter on a second device
Do not keep switching devices. Beta access is bound to the first device used, and each HoYoverse account can receive access for one platform. Return to the originally used device and the invited account, then follow the invitation’s support or verification instructions if access still fails.
The wrong account opens in the client
Sign out and identify the HoYoverse account named in the invitation or intended for public play. Starting the beta with another login can leave you looking at an account that has no entitlement. Avoid creating another account as a first response; verify the original credentials and assigned platform.
The download stops for lack of space
Free more space than the published test-build minimum, check the destination drive or device, and retry from the official launcher or store. On PC, inspect the selected library location; on mobile, remove large local files and confirm that the operating system can complete the installation.
A page promises an open beta or an instant code
Treat that as unverified. The current Final Beta is invitation-only. Use the official HoYoverse, Petit Planet, Epic Games Store, HoYoPlay, App Store, or Google Play route rather than entering credentials on a mirror or code-selling page.
What has not been announced yet
Several practical details remain open. HoYoverse has not published the exact public launch day, a confirmed console or Mac edition, a complete launch-device compatibility list, or a guaranteed final storage requirement. The retrieved account guidance also does not provide a stable list of exact account-creation fields and button labels for the launch client. Those details can change between the Final Beta and release, so use the current in-client prompts and official announcements when they appear.
