Xbox Cloud Gaming is not officially supported on PS5. Xbox says to play at xbox.com/play in a supported browser on a supported device, while Sony says PS5 does not include a dedicated web browser app. The practical option is to use a device Xbox lists as supported—not an unverified PS5 browser workaround.
Can you play Xbox Cloud Gaming on PS5?
Not through an officially supported PS5 setup. Xbox’s listed device categories do not include PS5, and Sony’s PS5 FAQ says, “No, the PS5 system doesn’t include a dedicated web browser app.” Xbox’s browser instructions apply to a supported browser running on a supported device; they do not establish that PS5 can run Xbox Cloud Gaming.

Some unofficial PS5 interface routes have been discussed online, but the cited support information does not verify that they can open and run xbox.com/play. They should not be treated as reliable instructions or a supported way to stream games.
Use Xbox Cloud Gaming on a supported device instead
1. Check that Xbox supports your device
Xbox lists supported PCs, Apple and Android phones and tablets, select LG, Samsung, and VIDAA smart TVs, Amazon Fire TV, and other device categories. Check Xbox’s current device guidance for your exact model and region; a category match alone does not confirm that every model is supported.

2. Open the service in a supported browser or app
For browser play, go to xbox.com/play using a supported browser. Xbox names Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, and Safari for browser play. Sign in with the Microsoft account that has the required access. Some supported devices may instead offer an Xbox app.
3. Confirm plan, region, and game eligibility
Most cloud gaming requires an active Xbox Game Pass plan, a supported game, and a supported region. Xbox also says select free-to-play games can be played with a free Microsoft account in supported regions. Availability can vary by time, region, plan, and platform, so check the live game catalog and the applicable plan terms before choosing a device.

4. Connect a compatible controller
Xbox says to connect a compatible controller over Bluetooth or USB; select games support touch controls. Its compatible-controller list includes Xbox Wireless Controller, Xbox Adaptive Controller, PlayStation DualSense, and DualShock 4. A DualSense can therefore be useful when connected to a supported device, but controller compatibility does not make the PS5 itself a supported cloud gaming device.

Xbox publishes a minimum download speed of 10 Mbps. It says some devices may require 20 Mbps for best quality and recommends 5 GHz Wi-Fi. These are Xbox’s service guidance figures, not a guarantee of a particular resolution or performance; actual results can also depend on the device and network conditions.

- Exact device model: Confirm it appears in Xbox’s current supported-device guidance.
- Access method: Check whether the device can run a listed browser or an Xbox app supported for that device.
- Controller connection: Make sure you can connect a compatible controller by Bluetooth or USB, unless the game supports touch controls.
- Region, plan, and game: Verify that cloud gaming and the specific title are available to your account in your region.
