Assuming “Hellfire world boss” means Doom Lord Kazzak in World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Classic, prepare for a fast damage race: get the raid to the Throne of Kil’jaeden, have the tank establish threat immediately, send DPS cooldowns on the pull, and make sure mana users know how to handle Mark of Kazzak. This is not a universal guide for every game called Hellfire or every version of WoW.
Confirm the boss, version, and route before organizing
Doom Lord Kazzak is the likely match for this title. The third-party encounter guide by Boosting Ground, published December 9, 2025, places him at the Throne of Kil’jaeden in Hellfire Peninsula, approximately 63.2, 16.0. It says normal access requires a flying mount; a Warlock can summon other raid members once a flying player reaches the area.
Confirm that your group is playing the intended Burning Crusade Classic version and that these mechanics apply to your realm. The guide is not Blizzard documentation, and its patch or realm applicability has not been independently established. Treat its exact timers and damage values below as reported figures, not guaranteed current values.
What gear and build should you bring?
Go in with a well-geared tank, full consumables, and raid buffs, as recommended by the encounter guide. It does not establish a best-in-slot set, numeric gear-score or stat threshold, named consumables, or class-by-class talent builds. Choose your normal suitable raid setup for the version you are playing rather than relying on an unsupported “best build” list.

Assign roles before the pull
Tank
Establish firm aggro immediately and stay alive through the opening burst. The 2025 guide reports Kazzak strikes for 7,000–15,000 damage per hit; this is a guide-reported range, not an independently verified current value.
Healers
Prioritize tank survival and coordinate healing for the heavy melee damage described by the guide. Make sure the tank is supported from the start rather than waiting for the fight to settle.

DPS
Use offensive cooldowns as soon as combat starts instead of saving them for later. The guide reports a 54-second hard enrage, making immediate damage its central timing recommendation.
Mana users and marked players
Brief the raid on Mark of Kazzak and choose a clear direction for affected players to move away from the group. The guide says the mark drains mana and eventually explodes; Mages can remove it with Ice Block. A marked player should move promptly rather than remain beside other raiders.

Everyone
Avoid deaths near Kazzak. The guide reports that a nearby player death heals him for 150,000 damage, including deaths of players outside the raid that tagged him. Preventing deaths therefore protects the raid’s damage progress as well as individual survival.
Use a short pre-pull checklist
- Confirm the encounter: Verify that the target is Doom Lord Kazzak in Hellfire Peninsula and that the reported encounter applies to your game version and realm.
- Arrange access: Have a flying mount for the route to the Throne of Kil’jaeden, or arrange a Warlock summon after a flying player arrives.
- Check readiness: Bring the guide’s recommended full consumables and raid buffs; confirm tank, healer, and DPS assignments.
- Call the mechanics: Tell mana users where to move if marked, remind Mages that Ice Block can remove the mark, and set the expectation that everyone must avoid deaths.
- Start decisively: The tank takes threat immediately, healers support the tank, and DPS spend offensive cooldowns on engagement.
Do not confuse Kazzak with Doomwalker
Doomwalker is a different Outland world boss, located by the Black Temple in Shadowmoon Valley—not in Hellfire Peninsula. The same third-party guide describes a different preparation problem:
