The fastest early-game route in Headless Knight: Idle RPG is not to spend every resource on the newest upgrade. Decide whether the current session is for fast farming or stage pushing, invest gold and talents toward that goal, concentrate early summons on weapons, and claim every companion and dungeon reward. Then change priorities when the game shows that suppression, hit, survival, or another stat—not raw attack—is stopping progress.

Trying to do both with one permanent build often wastes time. Use a farming setup when you need currency or levels, then reset into a pushing setup when you are testing a difficult stage. The guide specifically recommends separate talent configurations because talent points can be reset.
Farming or pushing: choose the right objective

Amir Shiraz’s guide describes an ideal fast farming clear as approximately five seconds. Treat that as a practical target from that guide, not a universal timer: the best farming stage is the one your current account clears quickly and repeatedly, not necessarily the stage with the highest number.
A simple session decision
- Look at the next upgrade, summon, synthesis, or dungeon attempt you want.
- If it needs gold or experience, select the fastest stage you can repeat and use the farming talents.
- If you are close to a stage, dungeon, or unlock milestone, reset talents for pushing and spend only enough resources to test the bottleneck.
- After the push attempt, return to farming rather than leaving a slow, unsuccessful stage running.
How to select the farming stage
Test a few nearby stages instead of assuming the highest unlocked stage is the best farm. Record the clear time, whether the run ever fails, and the amount of gold, experience, or chest income shown by the game. A stage that is one number lower but finishes consistently can produce more resources over an hour than a stage with occasional defeats. Recheck this choice after a major weapon, talent reset, companion level, or synthesis because a small power increase can change which stage is efficient.

For a new account, the Clashiverse guide gives this default order:

This is a starting order, not a rule that every account follows forever. Shiraz says to move suppression or hit to the front when one of those stats becomes the reason advancement stops. A stage that times out despite adequate survival points to an offensive or suppression problem; a character that dies first points to defense or HP. Buy the cheapest upgrade that addresses the observed failure, then test the stage again instead of leveling every stat evenly.
How to identify the gold bottleneck
- You die before the timer or clear window: test defense and HP before adding more damage.
- You survive but cannot finish: test attack, critical rate, critical damage, or suppression.
- Attacks appear to miss or enemy requirements are not met: inspect hit and the stage’s displayed requirement.
- Damage looks high but progress still stalls: check whether suppression is limiting effective damage.
Use the current upgrade screen as the authority for costs and prerequisites. The 2023 guide’s order may not match a later balance update or a newly unlocked character.
When several upgrades are affordable
Compare the next level in each candidate stat with the exact reason your last run failed. If survival was comfortable and the timer was the problem, buying another defensive level merely because it is available delays the useful test. Conversely, if a run ends with your character defeated, do not spend the entire bank on critical damage. Make one targeted purchase, repeat the same stage, and keep notes on whether the result changed. This one-change-at-a-time approach also makes it easier to recognize when suppression or hit has become the true gate.

What do I spend Talent points on?
Talents should match the job you are doing. Since points can be reset, do not leave a farming build equipped while attempting a difficult push simply because changing it feels expensive or inconvenient.
Beginner farming talent order
- Gold-drop bonuses.
- Experience-drop bonuses.
- Attack.
- Movement speed.
- Treasure-chest drop rate.
- Additional damage statistics.
The first two positions increase the value of every repeatable run. Attack and movement speed then help shorten the run, while chest income and damage fill out the setup. If your account already clears the chosen stage in roughly the same time with or without a damage talent, income talents are generally the more useful farming investment.
Beginner pushing talent order
- Attack speed.
- Movement speed.
- Super-critical chance.
- Super-critical damage.
- Suppression.
Shiraz cautions that this order depends on the character’s existing critical statistics. If your current character already has strong critical chance, a further chance node may be less valuable than damage or suppression. If the stage’s requirement is suppression, bring that talent forward rather than following the list mechanically.
Reset procedure
- Record which stage you are farming and which stage you are trying to beat.
- Reset talent points using the live talent interface.
- Equip the farming or pushing sequence that matches the session.
- Run one or two tests before spending additional gold, summons, or enhancement materials.
- Reset again when the objective changes.
How should beginners spend summons on gear?
The guide recommends directing approximately 70–80% of summons to weapons and 20–30% to armor until you obtain a System-quality, or red, sword. After that sword arrives, bring armor up to improve suppression. These percentages are an attributed community recommendation, not an assured optimum for every version, character, or banner.

Before confirming a summon, inspect the current pool, item skill, attributes, synthesis path, and any displayed requirement. The App Store listing confirms that equipment has distinct skills and attributes and that weapons and armor can be synthesized and enhanced; it does not establish that one item is permanently best after a balance update.
Enhance deliberately
- Do not spread enhancement materials across every item just to remove unspent resources.
- Keep the weapon and armor pieces that currently support your selected farming or pushing objective.
- Compare the next enhancement’s cost with the next summon or synthesis opportunity.
- Check lower-tier equipment bonuses and the live item screen before dismantling, synthesizing, or replacing a piece.
Enhancement stones are especially valuable because the guide associates them with improving equipment and heads and with refining equipment or companions. Spend them after confirming which upgrade removes your current bottleneck.
Gear replacement checklist
When a new item drops, compare its skill, attributes, quality, and synthesis potential with the equipped piece. A higher displayed tier is not automatically better if it removes a useful skill or fails the requirement for your current build. Keep a reserve until you have tested the replacement. Only then synthesize, enhance, or dismantle the old item, and verify the material refund and cost shown by the current interface.
Which companions should I level first?
For early farming, Shiraz recommends using your strongest clear unit alongside Golden Pig and Dr. Owl. The guide attributes gold and experience bonuses to Golden Pig and Dr. Owl and recommends leveling both to 50 for the maximum early bonuses described in that guide.

- Choose the companion or character that clears your selected stage most reliably.
- Add Golden Pig and Dr. Owl when the run remains stable with their resource bonuses.
- Level the two bonus companions toward 50 before distributing scarce experience broadly.
- For a difficult push, replace a bonus companion only if the loss of income is justified by the extra damage or survival needed to pass the stage.
Do not assume the level-50 breakpoint, bonus value, or companion availability is unchanged. Open each companion’s current tooltip and confirm the displayed bonus before committing experience or favor materials.
How should I use dungeons and tickets?
Attempt each dungeon at the highest level your account can currently reach before spending tickets. The guide’s reasoning is that higher clears provide more materials, so using a ticket on a lower level can reduce the return from the same limited resource.
Skill-book dungeon
The guide identifies this dungeon as the source for protagonist skill upgrades. Push it as far as possible first, then spend tickets on the highest confirmed clear rather than a level you have not tested.
Companion experience dungeon
This dungeon supplies companion experience and favor materials according to the guide. Use it when a companion level or favor requirement is the immediate limiter, especially while building the early farming lineup.
Enhancement-stone dungeon

Treat these as additional places to check for currently available rewards rather than as a reason to interrupt a productive farm every few minutes. Collect what is ready, read each displayed requirement, and use the reward that matches your immediate bottleneck. If a task asks for a dungeon, skill, or arena action you already planned to perform, complete it during that run; do not spend scarce tickets solely to force a task unless the reward justifies the cost shown in-game.

The guide’s 70–80% weapon allocation is conditional on not yet having a System-quality sword. Once that breakpoint is reached, continuing to direct nearly all summons to weapons can delay armor and suppression. Rebalance when the sword arrives.
