The four actions that support a higher rating
1. Keep shelves stocked
Low stock is the most visible operational problem because an empty shelf can prevent a customer from buying the product they came for. Start each shift by unpacking available deliveries and filling shelves before spending time on optional work. Unload before the store becomes busy
Opening with a full sales floor gives you more time to serve customers instead of repeatedly leaving the shop to fetch products. If a delivery arrives during a rush, unload enough to restore the most depleted displays, then return to customers and finish the rest during a quieter interval.
Check every category, not just the entrance
Customers can empty shelves in different parts of the store. Walk the entire floor after restocking rather than assuming the first aisle you filled is the only one that matters. Partially depleted displays are easy to miss and can become empty during the next customer wave.
Do not confuse inventory with placement
Products sitting in a stockroom or delivery area are not the same as products available on a shelf. The practical objective is a stocked sales floor. After unloading, confirm that items are actually on their displays and that you have not left a needed category behind.
Cleaning without losing the shift
Cleaning is most efficient when attached to existing movement. Take care of a stain while walking from the stockroom to an aisle, collect trash on the way back to the register, and make a final circuit before closing.
