To remove bots from a CS:GO or Counter-Strike 2 match you control, open the developer console, enter bot_kick, and press Enter. It kicks the bots currently on the server; it does not necessarily stop the server from adding bots again.
Remove bots with the console command
-
Open the developer console during a match or on a server you control. In the 2012 CS:GO tutorial, the console is enabled in the game options if it is unavailable; menu labels may differ in later versions. 3kliksphilip’s CS:GO tutorial

bot_kickand press Enter. With no extra criteria, the command kicks all bots from the server. Steam Community command reference
If bots come back
bot_kick removes bots that are present; a server’s bot quota or game-mode configuration may replenish them. If you control the server, you may need to set its bot quota to zero as well as kick the existing bots. Whether you can change those settings depends on server access and the active game mode. GameServerKings’ CS2 bot-command guide, updated September 28, 2026, describes this approach for CS2 build 1.41.8.5, dated September 25, 2026.

CS:GO versus Counter-Strike 2
The query uses the legacy name CS:GO, while the freshest configuration guidance is for Counter-Strike 2. The bot_kick command appears in both the older CS:GO tutorial and current CS2 command references, but exact menus and server controls can vary by version. These instructions apply where you have permission to use server commands; they do not establish that you can change bots in every official matchmaking mode.
Use bot_kick, not bot_kill
bot_kill kills bots rather than removing them from the server, and a secondary command reference notes they may respawn in the next round. For removal, use bot_kick. CS2Flow’s command documentation
