Steam does not provide a documented “remove all” or bulk-delete button for wishlists. The supported method is to remove entries individually from the wishlist, using the Remove link beside each game’s added date. If that row control is missing or difficult to use, open the game’s store page and choose Remove from wishlist from the menu beside On Wishlist.
For a very large list, browser extensions and browser-console scripts have been reported by Steam Community users, but they are unofficial. They can break when Steam changes its interface and require you to consider account-session and security risks. The safest approach is still the native, one-item-at-a-time workflow.

What “bulk removal” means on Steam
A bulk operation normally means selecting many games and deleting them with one command. Steam’s documented wishlist controls do not work that way. Steam Support’s wishlist instructions describe removal for an individual product, and the available controls are attached to each entry or to that product’s store page.
That means there are three different outcomes people often confuse:

- Wishlist removal: the game is no longer listed in your wishlist.
- Ignore: Steam changes how the product appears in recommendations and featured discovery areas, but this is not a wishlist deletion.
- Unofficial automation: a browser extension or script repeats individual removal requests for you; it is not a Steam feature and is not covered by Steam Support’s documented workflow.
If your goal is to clear the list without giving an outside tool access to your browser session, use the supported per-game process and work through the list in batches.
Remove games with Steam’s supported controls
Method 1: Remove directly from the wishlist
- Open Steam in the desktop client or in a web browser and go to your wishlist.
- Find the game you no longer want to keep.
- Look beside the date showing when the item was added. Select Remove.
- Continue with the next unwanted entry.
- Refresh the wishlist after a group of removals so you can confirm that the entries disappeared and continue from the current list.
The exact layout can vary between the client and the website, but Steam Support’s documented action is the same: use the Remove link associated with the item’s added date. You do not need to open the store page when that link is visible.
Method 2: Remove from the game’s store page
Use this fallback when the wishlist row is compressed, the Remove link is hard to see, or the row control does not respond.

- Find the wishlist control, which is shown as On Wishlist when the product is currently saved.
- Open the arrow or menu beside that button.
- Choose Remove from wishlist.
- Return to your wishlist and refresh it to verify the result.
This method removes the same wishlist entry; it is not a separate list or a different account setting. It is useful when a product row is difficult to operate, including cases where the wishlist page does not expose its normal row action clearly.
Can Steam delete every wishlist game at once?
There is no documented native remove-all control in the Steam Support workflow covered here. A Steam Community discussion titled “delete all games from wishlist,” posted June 29, 2019, describes the same limitation and says users must click Remove for each game. The discussion is user-generated rather than an official feature announcement, so it should be read as a report of the interface at that time, not as a promise about every future Steam redesign.

The practical consequence is that a list of 20 unwanted games requires 20 individual removal actions when you stay inside Steam’s supported interface. Steam may change its page layout, but you should not assume that a newly added sorting option, filter, or “Ignore” control also provides bulk deletion.
Why “Ignore” does not clear the wishlist
Valve’s Steam Discovery documentation describes Ignore as an action that excludes a product from future recommendations and featured spots. It changes discovery behavior. It does not represent the wishlist removal action described by Steam Support.

Use Ignore when you want Steam to stop presenting a product during discovery. Use Remove from wishlist when you want the product gone from the saved wishlist. If you choose Ignore and later check the wishlist expecting the entry to be deleted, the item may still be present because these controls affect different systems.
Handling a large wishlist without automation
Manual removal is slower than an automated loop, but it keeps every action inside Steam’s own interface. A batching routine reduces mistakes without requiring a third-party extension or script.
Batch by decision, not by page position
- Start with games you know you will never buy, such as titles that no longer match your platform, language, or hardware.
- Leave uncertain games in place until you have checked their store pages. Removing an entry is easy, but rebuilding a carefully curated list later takes time.
- Process one visible group at a time, then refresh. This prevents you from repeatedly targeting rows that have already moved after earlier deletions.
Keep the browser or client stable
- Use one Steam session while processing the list instead of switching repeatedly between devices.
- Let each removal finish before selecting the next one. If the page has not updated, a second click can target a different row after the list reflows.
- If Steam asks you to sign in again, complete that sign-in before continuing and verify that the previous removals were saved.
Verify the final state
- Refresh the wishlist after the last batch.
- Search or scroll for a few games you deliberately removed.
- Open one of those store pages and check that the wishlist control no longer says On Wishlist.
- If an entry remains, remove it from the store-page menu rather than assuming the earlier click succeeded.
Unofficial bulk-removal workarounds
The 2019 Steam Community discussion reports two categories of workaround: browser extensions, including Enhanced Steam and Augmented Steam, and a browser-console script that sends removal requests. These reports are not Steam documentation. They establish that users have attempted automation, not that a particular extension or script is safe, current, or compatible with the interface you see today.

Browser extensions
An extension can add controls to the wishlist page or automate repeated clicks. Before installing one, consider who maintains it, when it was last updated, what permissions it requests, and whether the code is available for inspection. An extension with access to Steam pages can potentially read or alter information in your signed-in browser session. A stale extension may also misidentify rows after Steam changes its markup.
Do not enter your Steam password into an extension. Do not install a package that asks for unrelated account credentials, payment information, or a downloaded executable merely to remove wishlist entries. If the extension’s behavior is unclear, the native method is the safer choice.
Browser-console scripts
A console script can send the same type of removal request repeatedly, but the script must be trusted and must match Steam’s current page behavior. Running unknown JavaScript while signed in can expose account data or perform unintended actions. A script copied from a forum post may also contain errors, hidden code, or assumptions about an old endpoint.
Because the supplied evidence does not establish a current, verified script, no script should be treated as a ready-made solution here. If you nevertheless evaluate one, inspect every line, save a record of the games you intend to remove, test on a very small number of entries, and stop if the page reports errors, redirects unexpectedly, or requests a new login.
What unofficial tools cannot guarantee
- Compatibility with the current Steam website or client.
- Correct targeting after rows move or lazy-load.
- That every removal request reaches Steam successfully.
- That Steam will not rate-limit, challenge, or otherwise interrupt the session.
- That the tool will remain available or maintained.
Automation can reduce clicks, but it exchanges manual effort for technical and account-session risk. Steam Support’s documented workflow remains per item.

Troubleshooting wishlist removal
The Remove link is not visible
Open the product’s store page and use the arrow beside On Wishlist, then select Remove from wishlist. Refresh the wishlist afterward. This is the documented fallback when the row action is difficult to find.
The store page cannot be opened
Try the wishlist row again after refreshing the page. If the product has been delisted, region-restricted, or otherwise no longer presents a normal store page, the row control is the first method to try. Do not substitute Ignore: it changes recommendations rather than confirming wishlist deletion.
A click appears to do nothing
- Wait briefly for the page to finish loading.
- Refresh the wishlist.
- Check whether the entry is still present.
- If it remains, use the store-page menu.
- Repeat once in the other Steam interface, browser or client, if available.
A failed visual update is not proof that the request failed or succeeded; verification after refresh is the reliable check available in the normal interface.
The list keeps changing while you work
Removal can cause rows to move, especially when the page loads additional entries as you scroll. Work from the currently visible list, pause after each action, and refresh between batches. Avoid clicking a fixed screen coordinate repeatedly because the next row may occupy that position after the previous item disappears.
Steam asks you to sign in again
Use Steam’s normal sign-in process, then verify that the address and page are genuine before entering credentials. After signing in, check several entries you already processed. If the wishlist state is inconsistent, stop experimenting with extensions or scripts and contact Steam Support.

When to contact Steam Support
Steam Support is the escalation path when both documented controls fail, the wishlist does not reflect confirmed changes, or your account session behaves unexpectedly. Steam’s support contact FAQ provides the route to its help flow. Include the account issue, the approximate time of the failed action, whether you used the browser or client, and the game names involved. Do not send your password or an authentication code in a support description.
Support may ask you to repeat a standard step or provide account and product details. Keeping the request focused on wishlist removal makes it easier to distinguish a display problem from an account issue.
Questions to settle before clearing the list
Do I need to remove games I have already purchased?
The controls discussed here concern wishlist entries. If a product is already in your library, removing a duplicate wishlist entry does not uninstall the game or remove your purchase. Check the product’s library status before deleting an entry you may still use as a reminder.
Can I recover a removed wishlist entry?
The documented controls explain how to remove an item, not a bulk undo or restoration history. If you change your mind, open the game’s store page and add it to the wishlist again. For a large cleanup, keep a personal list of titles you remove if you may want to restore them later.
Will Ignore reduce the number of wishlist entries?
No. Ignore is for discovery recommendations and featured spots. It should not be used as a substitute for the Remove action when the objective is a shorter wishlist.
Is a third-party tool worth it for a very large list?
That depends on how much manual time you are willing to trade for uncertainty. Extensions and scripts may reduce clicks, but their compatibility, safety, and success rate are not established by Steam’s documentation. For an account you cannot risk exposing to unknown code, manual removal is the appropriate choice.
A safe clearing plan
- Make a private note of any games you might want to restore.
- Open the wishlist in the client or browser and remove one unwanted entry at a time with the row’s Remove link.
- Use the store-page menu when the row control is missing or unresponsive.
- Refresh after each manageable batch and verify several removals.
- Use Ignore only for recommendation control, never as a deletion shortcut.
- Stop if an unofficial tool asks for credentials, behaves unexpectedly, or targets the wrong entries.
- Contact Steam Support if the native controls fail or the account state does not match what you see.
This plan gives you the closest supported equivalent to bulk removal: a deliberate sequence of per-item deletions with checks between batches, rather than an undocumented command that could affect the wrong games.
