To stop one cartoon episode from playing again, remove it from the playlist or queue that supplies your live stream. That is different from hiding or deleting a finished livestream archive in YouTube Studio: changing an archive does not, by itself, change what your stream plays next. First identify whether the episode is still in the rotation, appears only in a past archive, or is involved in a copyright claim.
First identify where the episode appears
- It is scheduled to play again: edit the recurring playlist or queue in the software or service feeding the live stream.
- It appears only in a finished stream: manage that saved livestream under YouTube Studio’s Content > Live section.
- It is part of a copyright claim: review the claim and decide whether the relevant archive segment can appropriately be edited. That does not remove the episode from a separate live rotation.
These are separate controls. YouTube’s documented archive tools do not establish a universal Studio control for removing an item from an always-on stream’s playback rotation. The control for future playback depends on how the channel’s live feed is being supplied.
Remove the episode from future playback
- Identify the playback source. Check which encoder, playout application, or third-party scheduling service is supplying the live video. If you did not set it up, ask the channel administrator or whoever manages the stream.
- Open the active recurring playlist or queue in that source. Make sure you are editing the list used by the live feed, not a YouTube channel playlist or a list used for a different stream.
- Remove the specific episode from the recurring list. Verify the title or file before changing the queue. If the source uses separate scheduled blocks or multiple playlists, check which one is currently active.
- Save or publish the change in that system. The exact button and workflow depend on the software or service; there is no single YouTube Studio path that applies to every external playback setup.
- Check the feed’s next playback. Confirm the episode is no longer queued for a later loop. If it is already playing, removing it from a queue may not interrupt the current item; use the source system’s controls if you need to stop the current playback as well.
If you cannot find the source, inspect the channel’s stream setup and ask whoever configured the encoder or scheduling service. Avoid deleting a YouTube archive as a substitute: that affects the saved video, not necessarily the live feed.
Hide or delete a past livestream archive
If your goal is to remove the episode from a completed stream’s saved video, YouTube documents archive management in YouTube Studio. Open YouTube Studio > Content > Live, select the relevant stream, and use its details to change visibility or delete the archive. Changing visibility limits who can see the saved video; deleting removes that archive. Neither action edits the source playlist or guarantees the episode will not play again.

- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Handle a copyright-claimed segment carefully
A live stream can be scanned for third-party content. YouTube says a match may cause a placeholder image to replace the stream, and that a stream may be interrupted or terminated if the material remains after a warning. If the stream is archived, a Content ID claim may also arrive after it ends. A claim on an archive and an episode in a recurring queue are still different problems.
If a saved video has a claim and you decide to edit it, YouTube Studio Editor can trim a claimed segment. Preview the proposed result and keep a backup before saving. Since YouTube’s June 2025 change, Studio Editor edits that have been saved cannot be undone with “Revert to original.” This editing option is for the archive, not a general control for rotation management.

Check that you have rights to stream the cartoon
Removing an episode from a rotation does not resolve whether you were permitted to stream it. YouTube’s livestream terms place responsibility on the content provider to have the necessary rights for exploitation of live content on Google services. For a cartoon episode, verify that your permission covers the audiovisual material, relevant territories, and live distribution; owning a copy or being able to play it does not itself establish those rights.
YouTube describes copyright removal requests as a legal process for copyright owners or authorized representatives. It also advises considering whether an exception such as fair use or public domain applies. A removal request is not a creator-side way to edit a rotation, and it should not be made without a good-faith rights basis.

Troubleshoot when the episode still returns
- The episode plays again after you removed it: you may have edited the wrong playlist, queue, or scheduled block. Confirm which source is connected to the live feed and inspect its recurring configuration.
- The archive is gone, but the live stream still plays the episode: archive management and playback scheduling are separate. Remove the item from the system feeding the stream.
- The episode is no longer queued, but it is still on screen: the current item may already be playing. Use the feed source’s controls to stop or skip it; removing a queued item may only affect a later loop.
- You see a copyright warning or the stream is interrupted: review the notification and the rights for the material. Do not assume that deleting an archive or changing its visibility will clear a live-content issue.
- You are unsure whether the change worked: check the next item in the live feed and then verify the recurring playlist or queue itself. A change to a channel playlist or archive is not proof that the stream’s source was updated.
Or let it run in the cloud
If the live feed is a playlist of uploaded videos, StreamNeo is a cloud option for keeping a YouTube channel live without leaving a computer running. To use it, upload your recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. StreamNeo plays uploaded videos; it does not broadcast from a camera. If you use a StreamNeo playlist and need to remove an episode, manage the playback list in the service; contact StreamNeo support if you need help with the playlist controls.
- Nothing has to stay on at home for the stream to keep running.
- Each slot streams uploaded video as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one price per slot rather than separate quality tiers.
- It can automatically recover if YouTube drops the stream.
- The first day is free, with no card required.
- Monthly: $9.99 per month.
